Actually, there are five or six baptisms mentioned in scripture. Paul only mentions two, however, in Acts 19.

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Amen to that, and useful to all. Well, thanks be to God, my flesh was crucified with Christ at my water baptism into Him and into His death. (Rom 6;6, Gal 5:24) I walk in the Spirit. Glory be, to the chief Shepherd.

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Why would we need a man's affirmation of anything the Lord spoke? Paul wasn't trying to hide who Jesus was, like Jesus was. Jesus used many similes, while Paul is teaching doctrines. Translated..."can't figure it out". But you do follow Jesus...right?

Both my concordance and my dictionary agree that repent means...Turn From, or, Change. I agree, as my repentance from sin gracefully changed me into a non-sinner. I didn't say fit for salvation, I said fit for use by the Holy Ghost as His temple. So I agree with the Rom 5:15-16 scrip's you...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

He never called them booger-heads either. Paul wrote Rom 8:36, right?..."As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Jesus used very much figurative speech, especially in His parables. We aren't actually "sheep", you know? No, he...

Yes, and they are the ones that actually repent of sin permanently. Then, having had their sins washed away by the blood of Christ at their baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their past sins, are fit to be the sanctified temple of the Holy Ghost. Thanks be to God. One...

Faith to believe on Christ !

I can't agree with that assumption. I myself sought after God well before I was reborn. As you can't believe that, please tell me how the old man was killed so the new man could take its place? As that which is born of the flesh cannot enter into heaven, man must be born of the Spirit to enter...

Faith to believe on Christ !

You've never met someone who quit smoking? You've never met anybody, besides me, who actually turned from sin? You've never met anybody who gave up drugs or drinking? People's priorities define their nature, their nature doesn't define their priorities.

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Well as a believer that the kingdom has come, I am one of the flock that knows my Shepherd's voice. Certainly not the unbelieving Israelis. But the believing Jews are the body of Christ. Agreed, as we have both turned from sin and been "immersed" into Christ and into His death, burial, and...

Jesus is the Word made flesh, and to be manifested in the flesh, He needed a mommy. Jesus is the Son of God.

Correct, if the baptism you refer to is the one given by God to the repentant. One from God, and the other NT baptism is done by men in the name of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God for the remission of sins in the name of the Son of God. Amen to that, especially when you read 1 John 5:8..."And...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

Nope, not at all hard to understand it was about the Jews. Agreed. Yes indeed. Though I don't know what you mean by "came through believing Israel". Is that long-hand for "Peter"? As for "separate from Israel", don't you mean "separate from unbelieving Israel"? I, for one, am grateful to be...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

This is who Paul was writing to..."To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." (Rom 1:7) He reiterates it in Rom 2:9-11..."Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first...
