I never talk to Jesus or the Holy Spirit

Like Peter said in Acts 2:38..."Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We are cleansed at our immersion into Christ and into His blood. As it is written in 1 John...

I never talk to Jesus or the Holy Spirit

OK. I do notice the "to Him", but it is in the name of Jesus Christ that we address the Father to begin with. Is Jesus your Lord? If we are to trust, obey, love Him, and potentially die for Him, why do you think it inopportune to address Him?

These are NOT the same gospel

That's not something I would risk to chance. There is but one gospel. Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead. Anything else is a response to the "good news".

I never talk to Jesus or the Holy Spirit

I saw you indicate being "in the flesh" as part of your reasoning. But scripture says..."And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." (Gal 5:24) So if you are Christ's, the "in the flesh" reasoning is invalid. Paul also notes..."But ye are not in the flesh...

I thought I was agreeing with you.

These are NOT the same gospel

More proof that Paul spoke, and wrote, to both Jews and Gentiles.

These are NOT the same gospel

Done and did. Over. The remission of my past sins was completed at my water baptism in the name of the Lord for the remission of sins: just as Peter said in Acts 2:38. And thankfully, God gives all the repentant the ways and means to endure faithfully till the end. Praise be to God ! All you...

These are NOT the same gospel

You misinterpreted it. My sins will have already have been blotted out when the Lord returns...like Peter detailed in Acts 2.

These are NOT the same gospel

Where do you get this "forgiven later" business?

These are NOT the same gospel

I would think Noah in Gen 6, and later Lot in Gen 19, were grateful for God's grace/love. Just as we are for the grace/love of God for all the gifts He has bestowed on us through Jesus Christ. Absolutely, and I may be the best neighbor he ever had. Hope and pray. I especially pray for the...

These are NOT the same gospel

I know it has been around since the days of Noah..."But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." (Gen 6:8) Grace can be substituted for the word "love". That has been preached since Gen 22:2. It is the "world" that thinks they are saved before the day of judgement. I hope so, or else many...

These are NOT the same gospel

The Law is written in my heart. That Law is the Law of Christ, ie., love God with all my might and love my neighbor as I love myself. Is that not written in your heart?

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

He believes it. That is all I'm saying. So your doctrine does have one commandment you must follow in order to be saved...you must say, out loud, something or other. Isn't that tantamount to a LAW for salvation?

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

He did, or at least I hope Paul did. The answer to Paul's lament in Rom 7:23 is found in Rom 8:2..."For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Paul was freed from that "law in his members" And Paul's answer to his Ro 7:24 lament was...

Beloved57 are you sure you’re chosen?

As there are dozens, I'll provide two..."you can go to heaven without being born again". Another one is "Ongoing sinners are saved." As the only doctrine I am willing to defend are those taught by apostles and Godly teachers, I am comfortable with that...referral. What are you defending? You...

These are NOT the same gospel

If they tell lies, it is obvious they are not going to be saved. Satan is the father of lies and of those who use them. (John 8:44)

These are NOT the same gospel

If the Jews, like the Gentiles, will turn from sin and get water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their past sins, their past sins will be blotted out as well as ours. Peter said..."The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...by the resurrection of...

These are NOT the same gospel

That is not what is written. As the gospel of the kingdom was..."the kingdom of God is near you", I'm anxious to see what "commandments" Paul obeyed? Be sure to give the scripture saying Jews must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Something from Leviticus would...

These are NOT the same gospel

Why did it not occur immediately in Paul's case..."And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." (Acts 22:16) ?

These are NOT the same gospel

Paul was apparently aware of some..."Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets...
