A federal judge has ordered Kim Davis released from jail

IOW, it was trivially easy to issue licenses without her name on them, something she could have done the first time the first gay couple walked in to her office.

No it isnt, it would be altering state documents. Kentucky state law is that the clerks name and a statement be on them no matter who in the office signs them, you arent getting it.

The judge while she was in jail, was having other clerks alter them, he ordered it, and could have done that to begin with instead of putting her in jail, and he only did that, when she threatened to sue over her name authorizing them when she didnt, learn how to read.

Yes it is.

"However, Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins dismissed that argument, saying deputy clerks could issue valid marriage licenses without the clerk's approval.

On Tuesday, several other officials agreed that the licenses issued without Davis' name are valid.

[Governor] Beshear said there was no question the licenses were valid. He noted the state already is recognizing same-sex marriages for tax purposes. "These folks got a license, they got married, and that's that," Beshear said.

Rowan County Judge-Executive Walter "Doc" Blevins said he had checked with the Kentucky Association of Counties, which thought the marriage licenses without Davis' name were valid.

Blevins said an official there compared it to a clerk instructing deputies not to issue hunting licenses. If a deputy clerk did so anyway, the license still would be valid, he said."

Ding Dong, read the other thread where you posted this already, her objection was her name being on them, it was on them, printed no matter who signed them, and the judge in the case allowed the other clerks to ALTER THEM TO REMOVE HER NAME AFTER AFTER AFTER AFTER SHE WAS IN JAIL.

get it yet? She didnt have the authority to alter state documents.

:dunce:

Where did you see that it was Judge Bunning who ordered the licenses be changed?

If you look at the actual order from the judge, it paints a picture where the deputy clerks swore under oath that they would begin issuing marriage licenses again, but there was no specificity as to how they would do so. It wasn't until the judge reviewed their status report that he realized they did so by removing her name.

Someone in the clerk's office did.

If you would bother to read the mass amount of information you have already been given, you would know. It was already quoted also, for the brain dead who dont want to read the relevant order.

There's been nothing posted showing that Judge Bunning specifically ordered her name be removed from the licenses.

It was already quoted also, for the brain dead who dont want to read the relevant order.

I just linked to, and quoted from the order. It doesn't say what you're claiming it says.
