Being in the pockets of their wealthy donors (just as are the republicans), the democrats can't actually address the real problems facing this country, i.e. the legalized bribery and subsequent corruption of our government by wealthy corporate conglomerates and the oligarchs that run them. So instead, to try and create the perception that they care about the common citizens by championing every social cause they see no matter how tiny, silly, or extreme.

The reason they are losing support is not that people dislike these "woke" social issues (as most of you, here, do) it's that more and more democratic voters are getting sick and tired the democratic party focusing on these social issues and ignoring the very real and far more important issues that need to be addressed.

On the other hand, the republican party doesn't care about the social issues OR the really and important ones. All they want is to gain total control by any means available. And when they get it, they will continue creating an oligarchic dictatorship, as they have been in the process of doing for decades.

Democrats stole an election, Democrats used billionaires to squash free speech on the biggest platforms, and Democrats used bullies in the streets to intimidate opponents. Democrats perverted government processes to proceed with two fake fraudulent impeachments, and Democrats are currently holding the equivalent of a Nazi show trial under the guise of Jan 6 "hearings" to look into something that never happened: An "Insurrection".

I don't think burning the house down to save it is a valid solution.

Both parties, I think, are hopelessly corrupt, now, and the only solution short of a violent revolution at this point is for the U.S, voters to start throwing ALL THE BUMS OUT of office regardless of party affiliation unless and until they ACT (not just talk) to end the legalized bribery that has so thoroughly corrupted the poiticians of both parties. But that means we would have to be willing to act in unity, and to vote in unity, for the sake of the whole nation's survival.
