No, the Lord is not churning out new dreams, visions and scripture, agree that those trying to apply Joel to the church have taken the passage way out of context, that the passage is about the end of days and Israel. Try paying attention to the passage, as you read it. Also, if you haven't noticed, even the well meaning crackpots these days, claiming dreams and visions, are, first, always wrong, of those prophecies that did not come to pass, and most of the false prophecies involving the apocalypse, yet, according to scripture, and duh, folks:
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I believe those verses are also, by extrapolation, a warning of corrupt and deluded man adding to the word of God of scripture, period. As a matter of fact, this is why we have so many evil cult denominations, with their false doctrines.
Any of you that have studied the writings of the apostolic church fathers will have seen that, in their writings, they did not stray from the Bible, their writings, actually, clearly in the writing style and commentary style of man, writings not even structured with the precision of the word of God, that is, their writings clearly clumsy man, commenting on the Christian faith of scripture. Even they added nothing to scripture. And since that time, name one so-called prophet that has proven 100% reliable, such that their writings should be added to the Holy Bible, such that the canon of scripture should not have been closed. I would be delighted to see this new body of scripture, visions, dreams and all, that isn't a lot of bunk. (I won't hold my breath for anybody providing the name of a book that needs to be added to the Bible, or YouTube "prophets" that need to be the 13th plus apostles, having their technicolor dreams and visions they claim are of the Lord.) In my life, all I've ever seen are writings of man that uphold scripture, or phony baloney lies, false prophecy, not a single person I can think of, throughout history, that belongs in the Bible, post Revelation. Again, show us the books that need to be added to the Bible on Amazon, and, if not, explain what's happened with the Spirit pouring out all these new revelations the past couple thousand years, such that we should have an encyclopaedia of a Bible, if what you people are saying about Joel being for everybody is true.
But, if you insist, if you want to dream dreams and have visions, be a YouTube prophet, I would highly recommended eating a combo platter at the El Coyote Mexican Cafe. Guaranteed, by the next morning, you'll be telling everybody that, in the night, you were transported to Patmos.
2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2 Timothy 4:1-4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Ezekiel 13:6-7 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
