I think i noticed that the years go faster every year at an early age, maybe late teens, definitely by age 20-22. I always hoped the trend would stop at some point, when i had everything figured out. Ha, LOL right.

I can only ask older people and anyone in general if time keeps flying by.
I'm 46 and wonder if I'm blessed to live more, will life keep going faster ? nobody seems to talk for very long about this fact of life.

i realize this is a details(s) we all know about, so i don't expect a lasting thread, it's too boring watching the grass grow and the sun rise and set. and that's only daytime !

When I think about life and it's blessings, I tend to focus more on how my life affects those around me.

As long as I have two children, a grandson and a mother who needs me, their well being is my blessing.

Not that we remember, but when we when we were 5, a year was 1/5th of our lifetime. Now, it is 1/46th of yours. Perspective is amazing, I agree with you.

Yes. I'll be 47 in December. Before I had my daughter (at 21 years old), it did seemed that time dragged by. But, once my daughter was born, it seemed that time just zipped by. It feels like yesterday, my daughter was still ten years old and she's now twenty-five.

It feels like the years go faster because the more of them you have behind you, the shorter each succeeding one feels.

I'm turning thirty at the end of this month, and a year feels like a Spring Break.

Amen.

it comes down to keeping things simple whenever possible for me. easier said than done, and many folks want to be constantly moving and doing -

God/Jesus - Family - Contentment

then a dash of TOL ?

Oh my Dear! I am 78 years old. The days zip by with increasing velocity! So I try to make each day count!

[2] Corinthian's 5
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight . . .) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
