If only you had any meaningful concept of it...

You talk about liberties, but you support the taking away of a fundamental, natural right that holds tyranny at bay.

I don't know what is worse- the fact that people are victimized on account of your dislike of weapons, or how profoundly ignorant an entire people can be in thinking that merely 19 years of no guns somehow suffices for evidence that tyranny will not come.

In fact, it's already peeking at you all

Dude, you'd be more danger to yourself than anyone else if you were to aim a gun so take your precocious teenage babbling somewhere else. You don't live in America, you live in your own modern version of the Uzi toting Victorian era...

According to what, exactly? Newsflash: statistics do not dictate anything.

You all wouldn't want American criminals over there, armed or otherwise. Not everyone in the world shares the UK's complacency, because they don't want to be taken over by an oppressive majority like what's going on over your way

"God" did not command the execution of gay people. Whoever wrote the part of the Bible which says this did . You are blindly accepting the words of someone who lived during the bronze age thousands of years ago , when people thought the world was flat and did not not where the sun goes at night . They were primitive middle eastern tribesmen . And YOU want gay people to be executed because of this blind ancient superstition ? Are you nuts ? This is the 21st century , the digital age, and your mind, if it can even be called a mind, is still stuck thousands of years in the past . Wake up !!!

Regards to Gays: In one place it says "cut off," in another place it says "kill." Regards to world: People knew the world was round, it was the Papacy that said the world was flat. Due to the Earths rotation the Sun does go down around the world.

The question today is completely different.

1, God did command the execution of any variation from married male-female intercourse, in any variation you can think of.
2, Ptolemy in the 1st century did know the vastness of the universe in a mathematical sense, so when Christ and the apostles taught, they knew mathematically they were not in a hot-house universe (to view Christ in human terms). The Torah was given only about 1500 before that, and there have been many prohibitions on sexual variety in many other cultures. There are also many indicators that there is advanced mathematics all over the world before the deluge, which is before the giving of the Torah.
3, the question today is what things are necessary ongoing socially. Many ceremonial, dietary or ritual things from the Torah are not, but the apostles (through Christ's own authorized teaching) validated many of the moral teaching. Circumcision was prescribed on a person's 8th day because of a saturation of vitamin K which maximizes clotting. The ancients didn't know about the saturation, but it is hard to call this an antiquated law. There are many examples like that. I know of no social necessity for homosexuality--it should be obvious for the sake of 'diversity' that a child be raised with both male and female parents. For emotional intelligence, for one. 12 year old girls should not have to talk to homosexual men about menarche.

When the apostles referred to homosexuality, they actually said it was men-having-sex-with-men, as far as what the Greek term meant. There is no theory here, no mystical language; it was that act.

So the question becomes how much tolerance. The idea that everything is to be tolerated or embraced is ludicrous. It is feel-good nonsense. Thomas Mann, writing from Dachau, said 'To tolerate evil is to participate in it.' Homosexuality might not run a society down the same way as 'last time,' but nonsensical tolerance will; I was in a Bible study this week where people thought we should have ISIS folk come live here. There are quite a few distinctions we make all the time; lately they have tended to be environmental, but the ones that have uplifted women have tended to be based in historic Christian truth.

Even with hundreds of injuries all around, some will still say 'we need more love and acceptance.' The destructive people just love to hear that.

The idea that gender identity 'needs' to be taught as in WA state is destructive nonsense. The John Hopkins journal of medicine declared gender-change as mental illness. Are we supposed to change that by pop vote? It is a hopeless, confusing worldview making sure as much of the population is as confused as it is. As with anything occurring in 0.002% of the population, see the counselor. Don't put it on the level of mathematics. But, of course, it is years since the public school system had any respect for the Christian worldview.

When the laws of God about sex are disregarded, people do anything. The most painful way to see this is to grasp the idea of the movie IT FELT LIKE LOVE. No need to watch much; it is a true but horrid account. Notice how seamlessly theft and lying were right along with sexual deviance. No amount of 'education' in the amoral public school sense would have helped these kids. Only the reinforcement of morals in a universe with the higher authority of God, and a simple sexual rule: it belongs in a marriage covenant between a man and woman.

Mocking this has brought us a train load of misery and pain.

Again Obama suggested that guns be taken away from the American people.
90% of the American public would favor some common-sense legislation that would prevent those individuals on the FBI's "no-fly" list from buying guns, particularly assault weapons, legally.

Obviously "CherubRam" and other NRA fanatics would prefer to protect the 2nd Amendment rights of these dangerous individuals - at the expense of those countless innocents whose lives they are all too willing to sacrifice.

I predict that this inflexible position currently adopted by Republican legislators in the House and Senate, who are obviously receiving their marching orders directly from the NRA and not the American electorate, will be seen as a dividing point in US politics and the demise of the gun lobby.

Cherub Ram, people knew the earth was round back in the middle ages. But back in the bronze age, before science even existed, they did not .

Not correct. Ancient peoples did know that the world was round. Isaiah 40:22
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Then you must not have heard the accounts this past week of journalists (with absolutely no connection to NRA or conservatives) who tried to get a gun and were entangled in unbelievable stalls. The wrong people always get guns the wrong way. It is not a matter of weak databases or controls.

Canada shares 5,525 miles of border with the US and yet does a pretty fair job of maintaining a common sense balance with respect to firearms.

Canadians are allowed to own hunting rifles and shotguns, but not handguns or automatic weapons.

Canadians have established a democracy, human rights and a civil society all without the need for a 2nd Amendment!

Irony alert ! Thomas Mann WAS a homosexual, even though he was married with children . Laws criminalizing homosexuality and any kind of sexual activity between consenting adults, homo or heterosexual, are barbaric and idiotic . The government has absolutely no business prying into people's bedrooms, period .
