If Comey's allegations are true than Comey is headed to jail

All I know is she was foolish in how she handled her emails.

That is like saying the Ferguson rioters and 9-11 hijackers are foolish. You are getting more and more evil every day. Or just have no problem displaying for all the world to see.

not only is Comey a verified snake that needed to get fired but a complete idiot that has now shot himself in the foot.

Who was Comey supposed to notify - Attorney General Sally Yates had been fired by the President, and there was still no Trump replacements for the senior leadership positions in the Department of Justice!

Before being appointed FBI Director, Comey was Assistant Attorney General at the Justice Department so I don't think that our conservative "friends" are going to out-lawyer him!

After the Attorney and Assistant Attorney General were confirmed, Trump requested that they submit a report to provide justifications as to why Director Comey should be terminated!

They were the designated reason for the firing that VP Pence and the White House Press Secretary were peddling to the nation prior to the MSNBC interview with the President on Thursday!

How was the FBI Director supposed to report to the Trump appointed Attorney and Assistant Attorney General who were both being tasked with providing an excuse to have him fired?

Trump ordered VP Pence and future Attorney General Jeff Sessions out of the room, orchestrating the situation where it would be word of the FBI Director against that of his boss - the President!

Comey was manoeuvered by the President into a no-win situation - which is why he resorted to meticulous note taking and spreading them among his colleagues!

Stand back and see who blinks first - an unpopular president or Comey!

The appointment of a Special Council means that the White House has lost its ability to control the narrative.

Yesterday the Republicans opposed a Special Council - today they support it!

How many House Republicans will now want to admit that they were celebrating with "The Donald" in the White House Rose Garden?

Did Comey write memos about Clinton's free pass? ALL of his memos will be scrutinized

Comey and Clinton are now private citizens - the Republicans in the House and Senate can either spend their time carrying out a personal vendetta, or attempt to conduct the people's business in the hope that they will be re-elected in 2018.

Yeah, the demonrats are endlessly hoping for a victory in 18. I don't see it happening. Trump is too good

What's dumb? With no new information would they reach a different conclusion? Or do you mean that with Comey out a new person would decide to jail her?

Comey already said she was grossly negligent...that is guilty under the law. That poor sailor got a year for showing pictures of the inside of his ship, and Comey sent Martha Steward away for something far less egregious than what Hillary did. This is why the swamp needs draining.

the James Comey memo that no one has seen it seems only fitting to revisit James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3.

The subject of interference in an FBI investigation came up. Senator Mazie Hirono, D-HI, is doing the questioning:

HIRONO: Yes. And so speaking of the independence of not just the judiciary but I’d like you to clarify the FBI’s independence from the DOJ apparatus. Can the FBI conduct an investigation independent from the department of Justice. Or does the FBI have to disclose all it’s investigations to the DOJ? And does it have to get the Attorney General’s consent?

COMEY: Well we work with the Department of Justice, whether that’s main justice or U.S. attorney’s offices on all of our investigations.

And so we work with them and so in a legal sense we’re not independent of the department of justice. We are spiritually, culturally pretty independent group and that’s the way you would want tit. But yes, we work with the Department of Justice on all of our investigations.

HIRONO: So if the Attorney General or senior officials at the Department of Justice opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?

COMEY: In theory yes.

HIRONO: Has it happened?

COMEY: Not in my experience. Because it would be a big deal to tell the FBI to stop doing something that — without an appropriate purpose. I mean where oftentimes they give us opinions that we don’t see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it. But I’m talking about a situation where we were told to stop something for a political reason, that would be a very big deal. It’s not happened in my experience.

The last paragraph leaves you with one of three choices, it seems–assuming the existence of a memo. Either Trump asked Comey to stop the investigation and Comey mislead the Senate by specifically referring to the actions of the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General and hiding from them an attempt by Trump to stop an investigation. Or Trump made no such request. Or, Comey considered that the comment fell into the category of “they give us opinions that we don’t see a case there and so you ought to stop investing resources in it.” In other words, he did not take it as an attempt to interfere in the investigation.

the only mistake Trump did was talking to this snake alone.

If you are right, nevertheless mind...

Trump's is a life-long political and financial corruption; incompetence and its' cover up; all in the service of his severely out of touch with reality - narcissism.

And the man is simply incapable of uttering three words without setting himself off into one lie after another.

If you are right; I did predict early on that The Swamp Thing From New York would meet his betters in DC.

Hmm, there is a COMEdY of errors as a possible movie there one day - Swamp Thing Goes to Washington.

"...and Oz never did give nothin to the THIN Skinned Man, that he didn't; didn't already have" - his "please, o please, believe in me..."
