Is there a risk of death from the covid vaccine?

99.5% of COVID-19 deaths in the past few months were among people who weren't vaccinated, and 97% of those currently hospitalized with COVID-19 are unvaccinated, according to CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky.

High-profile Republicans are switching from a previous vaccine hesitant stance and now urging Americans to get their COVID-19 vaccines, as soon as possible.

Only two weeks ago at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, attendees cheered and clapped that Biden had not been able to"sucker" people and had missed his goal of vaccinating 70% of adults. Vaccine hesitancy on the right had metastasized into outright hostility.

But the mood music has changed again as the Delta variant rips through the red states where low vaccination rates are filling hospital ICU's at an alarming rate.

On Thursday, Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama, who for much of the coronavirus pandemic resisted public-health measures, criticized her state's unvaccinated population.

"I don't know, you tell me," she said when asked what it would take to get more people vaccinated. "Folks supposed to have common sense. But it's time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks. It's the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down."

Alabama has the fourth-lowest vaccination rate nationwide, according to a New York Times tracker.

How many deaths from the Delta variant have been reported so far by the CDC? I have not found a single death from the Delta variant listed by the CDC. What is going on over there?

The Delta variant, according to data from Israel (where 80 percent of adults are fully vaccinated), has proven a more challenging immunization target. While the Pfizer vaccine protected 93 percent of immunized Israelis from hospitalization and death, nearly 40 percent were still vulnerable to infection. The British government reported that for symptomatic infection, that rate was about 12 percent. And a recently published study, conducted through May and June in Guangzhou, China, begins to illustrate why.

The study gathered viral samples from 62 Covid-19 patients who were infected during the first Delta outbreak in mainland China and cross-analyzed them with those of 63 individuals infected in 2020 with a prior strain. It focused on two epidemiological parameters that, when it comes to determining infectivity, are particularly telling. The first is viral load, or the amount of virus particles replicating in the respiratory tract. The second is the amount of time that elapses between the moment of exposure to the moment of detection via PCR or antigen test.

On both fronts the findings were startling. The viral load of patients infected with the Delta variant was about 1,000 times as high. And on average, it took four days for viral titers in these patients to replicate to detectable levels—a full 48 hours sooner than last year’s strain.

Has anyone found any information listing the number of victims of the Delta variant who have died? I cannot find any information. Is nobody dying from the Delta varian't?

About 200 cases have been spotted in 11 countries, reports CNN. One death linked to the Delta Plus variant has been reported so far, in India where authorities have deemed the strain a “variant of concern.”

What is the death rate from covid nowadays? One in ten thousand? People are at greater risk of dying from car accidents.

For anyone who loves freedom and hates mask mandates or remote learning, Dr. Jerome Adams has a blunt message: Get vaccinated.

"More mitigation is coming. Whether it's masking, or whether it's closures or whether it's your kids having to return to virtual learning, that is coming," the Trump administration surgeon general told CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

"And it's coming because this pandemic is spiraling out of control yet again. And it's spiraling out of control because we don't have enough people vaccinated."

... your kids having to return to virtual learning ...
virtual learning has turned out to be a Godsend as parents across the country have been learning how determined the pullik ejumakashun system is to destroy their children

Nice thought-stopping slogan. Here is what the science says - from the proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences:

The preponderance of evidence indicates that mask wearing reduces transmissibility per contact by reducing transmission of infected respiratory particles in both laboratory and clinical contexts.
Last time I checked Americans did not run around fear mongering for the left, but in this new America of lemmings seems many have forgotten what freedom actually means.

Jerome is listening to one side of the argument and those on that side are backing Fauci who is more responsible for the covid deaths of Americans than any other man alive. The CDC keeps altering data and misreporting facts as well as omitting facts. Jerome should put more stock in what professionals are saying who do not agree with Fauci and his deceitful gang.

Hmm, when did you last check this or associated? 1957?
It looks like leftists are trying to use fears of Chinese viruses as vehicles of change by which to make world governments unite around atheistic Marxist dogmas. That runs contrary to God Bless American freedom and patriotism but democrats are showing themselves to be despisers of God Bless American freedom and patriotism.

It looks like this is yet another Marke diatribe with as much grounding in reality as Bill Murray's weather predictions.

For years Bill Gates, Fauci, and others funded the gain-of-function research at Wuhan which gave us the covid virus. Then just a few years ago Fauci predicted Trump will be facing a pandemic during his first presidency, and just months before the first covid outbreak in the US Gates and others gathered to map out measures for all nations to deal with a pandemic. Those measures are not founded upon American freedom and rights but on world Marxist ideas and philosophies. You go figger.

The Event 201 pandemic exercise, conducted on October 18, 2019, vividly demonstrated a number of these important gaps in pandemic preparedness as well as some of the elements of the solutions between the public and private sectors that will be needed to fill them. The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, World Economic Forum, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation jointly propose the following:
Accomplishing the above goals will require collaboration among governments, international organizations and global business. If these recommendations are robustly pursued, major progress can be made to diminish the potential impact and consequences of pandemics. We call on leaders in global business, international organizations, and national governments to launch an ambitious effort to work together to build a world better prepared for a severe pandemic.

Anthony S. Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said there is “no doubt” Donald J. Trump will be confronted with a surprise infectious disease outbreak during his presidency.
Fauci has led the NIAID for more than 3 decades, advising the past five United States presidents on global health threats from the early days of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s through to the current Zika virus outbreak.
During a forum on pandemic preparedness at Georgetown University, Fauci said the Trump administration will not only be challenged by ongoing global health threats such as influenza and HIV, but also a surprise disease outbreak.

Sure it does! The preponderance and of evidence is exactly what the handlers tell the lemmings to believe. No thanks.

Nope, it’s spiraling out of control because that is how the handlers control the lemmings.

Trumptards:

"The coronavirus was manufactured in China as a bioweapon to infect and bring down the USA, but we Trump supporters are going to do absolutely nothing to defend ourselves against it. Masks? Out of the question! Vaccines? Oh hell to the no!"
The 'flow' of complete illogic could almost count as the eighth wonder of the world...
