Jacobs trouble occurred while he was a believer in Genesis.
Jacobs trouble in the future (also in the past) refers to the troubles (tribulation) that the young believers go through in order to transform them into men and women of true faith, the same as did Jacob who wrestled with the angel and overcame, thus being changed to Israel.
Do not regard the fight between the Jews and Catholics as to who are Gods people, as having anything to do with the truth.
The apple of Gods eye are the Christians, not the Jew , not the Gentiles, and not the denominations.

The problem with that GO is that the real RT issue is back in Gal 3:17 and the tables are turned. It is Paul responding to how Judaism sees things and saying that its view has created confusion. The answer? To see things as Paul does in Gal 3. Christ is the Seed to whom the promises were made and all those who have faith in him share in those promises.

Way off the context several times LA. If there was a future to it, it was the cataclysm of the generation that had the choice between working in Messiah's mission or fighting for Israel against Rome in a futile struggle.

"let the reader understand" is the only thing that could possibly be added when Mark transcribed the first written from the Aramaic verbal. It is an instruction to a person who could read publically for the Christian group.

The Christians are a fulfillment of this prophecy:
Deuteronomy 32:21 21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. |
That prophecy is followed by this prophecy, which is waiting fulfillment:
Deuteronomy 32:43 43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. |
God will rise in vengeance against those that treated the children of Israel badly during their time of exile.

Pharisaic Judaism, which became the modern Rabbinical Judaism, is a problem that the children of Israel will need to deal with, since it is currently preventing them from recognizing the Messiah.
However, the prophecies speak of a time to come when the children of Israel will lose their blindness and see the Messiah for who He really is.

It is easy to tell by the words that the writers put into the verses.
In both Matthew and Mark, the phrase from Luke is missing and a new phrase is added with the words, "let the reader understand."

There is no more dealing the nation. Individuals might lose blindness but there are no more prophecies about the nation. What's the last statement about it in Acts 28? But even before that, Acts 26's material tells us why there are no more prophecies: what they were expecting arrived in the resurrection of Christ! So that all who believe could be justified from their sins.
In other words, what Interplanner is asserting is that Mark was not inspired.

Stop while you are ahead Danoh. That's not it at all. There were very ordinary humans steps along the way to a document considered inspired vs. not. I guess you haven't read Stroebel on the progression from verbal Aramaic to written Greek. Oh, that's right, you only read your books.
Let's see, how does it go in your part of the world - Mark was created from handed down oral traditions, from a Q Gospel your idols have had to reconstruct, from Matthew and Luke, which were created from Mark, or some such - way after Paul wrote .
Its why you always take issue whenever I quote 2 Tim. 3:16-17; your belief that is not referring to the NT.
You are mistaken if you think God will avenge the blood of Judaism which rejects Christ.

His people already are a nation, Mt 21's vineyard parable. They are already in "one place" in Christ. The OT passages are useful, but must be informed by NT quotes of them, and they are not geographic.
