I hate that term and I've written and phoned the Salvation Army to complain about it. Anyone who has truly received the gift of salvation and knows the purchase price paid by the suffering of the Messiah would never, ever demean the word salvation.

I didn't know about that 😢. It's true the Sally Army are not the same. Their motto is blood and fire. That was undoubtedly true years ago but now it ought to be water and sparks! I was brought up in the Salvation Army, not saved there though but this makes me feel very sorry.
