Crying and sympathy only go so far as healing any wounds. You have to eventually move on. Most people do.

So they try to move on, and then for some they find out they are infertile. Or they are positive with a disease that makes them untouchable. They have to move on without being restored, and discovering that their dreams of parenthood and marriage are forever altered. I bring this consequence up because to me it's the worst! It's erasing whole families from the timeline, like a silent, mini-genocide.

There are lots of kinds of wounds that can end up in a rape victims life, and if they move on, they move on like an amputee, dealing with the consequences for the rest of their lives.

It could be that divorce is not the answer at all. I've seen couples who split up for years and ended up getting back together. And I've also seen couples who didn't get divorced which kept them from getting involved in another bad marriage. Is it really anyone's place to say what is right for Doser?

Just maybe the Lord has something else in mind....something none of us could possibly know about, much less offer an opinion on. :sigh:
