Before anyone could be baptized with water they has to fist believe, as witnessed by the following exchange between Philip and the eunuch:
"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God" (Acts 8:36-37).
By the time when the eunuch believed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, he had already received life when he was born of God:
" But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name" (Jn.20:31).
"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God..For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 Jn.5:1,4-5).

Why do you say that 1 Corinthians 12:13 is a different issue?
Are you one of those who say that there were two different Bodies of Christ?
If you believe that teaching from the Acts 28 crowd then you are a Novice!

He said that it is the gospel of God which is the foundation truth of both the churches in Acts.
When I asked him what that foundational truth is he refused to answer.
Since you think that you are an expert on this then tell me what that "foundation truth" is.
And make sure that you back up your answer with Scriptures.

It's right there in the text and you can't see it. It is concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and declared to be the Son of God with power, by the resurrection from the dead (in simple terms: the WHO of Jesus Christ and that God raised Him from the dead)
Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Peter preached it at Pentecost

If you can't see the gospel of God in what Peter preached above, you have a sight problem (1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV).

Why did you not quote verses one and two?:
"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)" (Ro.1:1-2).
The gospel Paul preached was not based on prophecy but instead it was a secret or "mystery":
"Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past" (Ro.16:25-26).
Have you not yet learned to distinguish between "prophecy" and "mystery"?
Because she was addressing the issue of the foundation of both :bang:

Acts 28 would say the bulk of discussion on this thread has nothing to do with the Body and so is an irrelevant waste of time even to discuss. So what does 'almost 28' mean?
Out of respect for them, I'll let those who it was aimed at - jokingly - answer that. Thanks.
