It's the whole thing the left is getting all riled up about lately. Gerrymandering.

The left wants to redraw the state districts to give themselves more power. But to do so, they have to have a bunch of districts go deep into the major cities, because that's where the majority of their voting base is. It's how you end up with long thin and convoluted districts which are almost if not always blue, with red completely surrounding them.

The thumbnail alone might give you an idea, but the main reason why states like Virginia and Illinois are blue isn't because most of their population vote democrat, it's that the districts themselves are drawn in such a way to give more power to the Democrats, by extending the dark blue city districts out into the rest of the state.

IOW, it's legal cheating.

Well, I've spent 30 years living in 2 different red states. Are you going to tell me that I was just unlucky and picked the only 2 bad ones and rest of them are just fine?

I mean if the standard we are using is "Well it's better than living in the Bronx or the south side of Chicago or LA" then that's a pretty low bar!

Him conceding that point is not the equivalent of him conceding that "Crime is primarily a problem in democrat-run cities and states.".

Anyone who could possibly deny such an obvious truth is simply delusional. Their mind is broken. And that's assuming that their denial of it isn't an intentional lie, as is the case with most prominent left wing politicians in this country who are all working to intentionally destroy America from within.

The whole discussion is laughable to begin with because even the so called "right" in this country has no clue at all what actual criminal justice looks like. They typical murderer in this country spends less than 25 years incarcerated (i.e. being housed, clothed, fed, educated and entertained for free) and most Americans call that justice.
