Again, shill:

Chapter, verse, that asserts that respective members of the boc are not to interpret scripture.

That's why we need sacred tradition, saint john.
How can we control the religious masses with unbiblical ideas without it?

And, Mayor, there would be nothing but rabble rousing, like that last post in "Weekly Weigh In."

What Catholic here ever claimed that "respective members of the boc are not to interpret scripture"? It certainly wasn't me. :nono:

Then step up and make that claim now, since that claim is what you have been dancing around in this thread and many others.
Your innuendos, suggestions, and bald statements about the lack of authority of believers to understand and interpret scriptures has been the one note you keep hitting over and over again.

If the bible says "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved"

and you DO believe on Him

and you ARE saved

THAT is the PROOF

who is your authority?

1 Corinthians 11:3
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

The Bible says that Christ is the authority for every man.
The Bible does not say that Christ is the authority for the Pope, the Pope is the authority for the cardinals, the cardinals are the authority for the archbishops, the archbishops are the authority for the bishops, the bishops are the authority for the priests, and the priests are the authority for the deacons, and the deacons are the authority for every man.

The Old Testament canon was established without any help from the Church of Rome, and the additions made to it by the Church of Rome (Tobit, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch) have been rejected as non-canonical.
The New Testament canon was also established without any help from the Church of Rome and the books accepted by the Council of Trent are those that were already in wide acceptance by believers.

So, no the Church of Rome did not provide the Bible.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
