This is the third straight year of record warmth.

Also global sea ice extent is the lowest on record.

CO2 is also continuing to climb.

And fyi, solar output is down.

But hey we have a nominee for the EPA that doesn't want to tell us what his position is on climate change!

They're going the other direction on that. If you want to save the world you will have to do that yourself.

And you think anyone can do that "themselves"?

The good news is, the economics are already in place. Drumpf however seems to want to reverse the economic trends towards clean energy and go back to coal. He'll be ceding leadership on energy to places like China and India. Not a way to make America great again.

The rest of the world may well "save us" given what they are already doing. While individuals can help, we need government policy to make a big difference.

So you think NOAA is just faking it? How about the sea ice? How did they "adjust" that one? :nono:

I'm saying everytime there is a record year in heat, it is the result of adjustments in the past temperature record. I will make no judgements as to methods or motives.

What would really be interesting is to see the temperature record of land only and not including above 80 degrees in latitude in the north and south where actual data is sparse. That record would be much more meaningful.

Sea ice doesn't follow global temperature in a linear way.

Everyone can do it themselves if they all do it.

Not gonna happen with Trump, he's a slash and burn kinda guy.
Elon Musk is our only hope. When the gigafactory comes on line and we have cheap solar along with his power wall we will finally turn the tide. We just haven't been ready cause we weren't ready. We didn't have the stuff.

do you have any idea how much strip mining will increase to meet the demand for rare earth metals for next generation batteries and motors?
