>>>John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."

"of" this world means "originating from":

In other words, his kingdom is from God.

Luke 22:30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Yup. It will be in the middle east.
I believe His kingdom is from God.

They, Jesus and the twelve, were in the Middle East, Israel.

Are you saying you believe in the resurrection?

What about the elements

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

2 Peter 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!

>>>Are you saying you believe in the resurrection?

I'm saying that what Jesus was saying was NOT that his kingdom was going to be "in Heaven" but rather that it was not up to his disciples' military prowess, but up to God.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

The scriptures never speak of "the Universe." In Genesis 1, the universe is presumed to pre-exist, and to consist of a bottomless ocean (ala Thales). The only thing that Genesis 1 records, and the scriptures ascribed to God making, were the sky ceiling and the dry land. These were destroyed once already, and returned to chaos:

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens [sky structures] were of old, and the earth [dry land] standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But **the heavens and the earth, which are now** [recreated], by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

So also:

Revelation 21:1 ¶ And I saw a new heaven [sky ceiling] and a new earth [dry land]: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

This will be the "third heaven" and the "third earth." But it will be the land that was promised to Abraham.

Romans 4:
13 For the promise, that he should be the **heir of the world**, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise [of the land] made of none effect:

Found these verses through a reading of Philippians and thought you might benefit from them.

Philippians 1:23 But I am hard-pressed from both {directions,} having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for {that} is very much better;

Philippians 3:21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

>>>Philippians 1:23 But I am hard-pressed from both {directions,} having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for {that} is very much better;

The words translated "with Christ" are: SUN XRISTWi

That is, "Christ" is in the dative. Well, "SUN" with an accusative would mean "near" or "by Christ"; However, since "SUN" is in the dative, the meaning is "associated with Christ." In other words, to "die with Christ is to is a great honor."

But don't take my word for it. Here it is in BDAG:

I know BDAG can be confusing. Here is the relevant part. Note the specific reference to Phil 1:23:

Paradise is used in a variety of ways in Scripture. Jesus said the thief would be in the righteous compartment of Hades when they died. No way does it refer to a grave in a garden!?

>>>I know salvation has something to do with being saved and sin. I am saved from the power of sin by Jesus Christ. What am I saved TO?

Actually, justification is something God does on the basis of one's faith, and then they are included in "Christ":

Romans 5:
1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have [or rather, "let us have"] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith ***into this grace [favor]*** wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The kingdom of God is coming to earth:

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Exodus 12:25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

Galatians 2:16-Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be jusitified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Ephesians 2:8-For by grace are ye saved through (Christ) faith; and not of of ourselves: it is the gift of God.

Some translations make it sound like mans faith is the key, when it was Christ faithfulness that made salvation possible, mans faith can wobble with the emotional ups and downs of life, Christs faith is the gift from God to the sealed saint, that little seed of His faith that enables us to stand, not our ability to remain faithfull on our own will power.

Yes, the resurrection is the gospel upon which a man must believe, but man is the one who must believe, and do so with his own blood pump, and must confess with his own mouth:

Rom 10:10 For with the heart **man believeth unto righteousness**; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that **ye** believe on him whom he hath sent.

Luk 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

In this way, Jesus is like the healing serpent:

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Faith is counted as righteousness:

Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Faithfulness does not "wobble up and down"; That is the *definition* of faithfulness:

Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even ***our*** faith.

Here's a good one for the OP:

Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise [garden/park] of God.

Your proof texts do not negate the plain speak of the NT.

Who was to be hated? who was Christ sent to in the flesh? was the pre cross teaching about 1Cor 15:1-4? so your one of the twelve tribes as well? my my proof text indeed.

You are asked by a friend: How do I get to heaven?

Catholic: Practice, practice, practice...

Calvinist: You don't. Heaven gets to you.

Universalist: How don't you?
