The strategy's never going to work, it's frankly stupid to try. It's only sharpening our division. Keep party politics out of schools. Teach American politics----not Democratic or Republican or Green or Libertarian political ideology----like we used to do. We'll sort out the party stuff later, like we always have and always will. This should be a non-partisan, bipartisan, omni-partisan issue: Just teach American kids American politics, not partisan, electioneering ideological narratives.

i.e. iow, Make American Great Again.

The solution is much simpler than that. Get your kids out of the Godless government schools.

Yes. Mine is more of a policy position, and yours is personal advice to individuals. Both are needed I think. So long as we have government schools, we have democratic (small D) control over them and should exercise it, and that means policy positions, political plans (aka ideology).

No, actually.

Mine is more of a policy position, and yours is personal advice to individuals.

Uh, no.

"Get your kids out of the godless government schools" by implication means that the government schools don't have any students anymore and thus get shut down.

Both are needed I think. So long as we have government schools, we have democratic (small D) control over them and should exercise it, and that means policy positions, political plans (aka ideology).

The corresponding policy position for what I said would be that the godless goverment schools (a socialist idea, by the way) need to be shut down and public education programs dismantled, and the money used for ACTUAL infrastructure, like criminal justice and roads, waterways, airwaves, etc.

Psycho perverts commit kidnapping and extortion with approval of college administration

"I was held against my will for three hours. They were demanding money from me if I wanted to make it home safely. That is extortion. That is kidnapping. That is holding someone for ransom.

"And it was baffling," Gaines continued, "that the police were not able to — in this three hours — allow me to safely exit the building. It was baffling that the ... dean of students was there and did nothing. I will be pursuing legal action."

Video of the event shows the trans activists saying, "Tell her to pay us, then she can go."

After the event, SFSU's vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Jamillah Moore, emailed students, thanking them for taking part in the "peaceful" event.

"It took tremendous bravery," Moore wrote, "to stand in a challenging space. I am proud of the moments where we listened and asked insightful questions.

"I am also proud of the moments when our students demonstrated the value of free speech and the right to protest peacefully."

Gaines later replied on social media decrying Moore's statement: "I'm sorry did this just say PEACEFUL.... I was assaulted. I was extorted and held for [ransom]. The protesters demanded I pay them if I wanted to make it home safely. I missed my flight home because I was barricaded in a classroom... We must have different definitions of peaceful."

The kidnappers should be executed. The dean as well. Apathy of a crime being committed in front of you is being complicit in it.

Anyone who demanded money from her should be forced to pay her, and if they were part of the group who kidnapped her, before they are executed.

Any of the police officers who refused to try to get her out of this situation should be flogged and dismissed from their jobs.

Anyone who assaulted her (not sexually) should be flogged.
