Ukraine Crisis

What's your take on why dinosaur soft tissue samples always carbon date to something far more recently than even one (let alone 65) million years ago? The tissue's like 40,000 years old. What's your take on that?

This is why YE and modern science is an endless bickering. You have evidence like this, modern science ignores it, and then the bickering has to ensue, because modern science is being just as arrogant and idiotic as they claim YE is.

It's beyond ridiculous.
Links to those claims?

There's no 'endless bickering' between 'modern' science and YEC at all really. The latter is just dismissed.

There's a link in a recent post in my fossils thread in the HPT forum.

That's exactly what one side of the bickering says. You couldn't be more condescending if it were a school assignment to write the most condescending thing you could think of.

The more important question and or matter for you is, what if it's true? What if, diamonds, and coal, and petroleum, along with these dinosaur soft tissue samples, all have some carbon-14? Do you have any idea how important this is? According to modern cosmology (Big Bang, abiogenesis, evolution) the dinosaurs lived no more recently than like 50 millions years ago, and the carbon-14 content is so high in these samples that even if they only lived a million years ago, it still shouldn't be this high. This evidence contradicts modern cosmology, which I presume you believe in. And contradicts means, falsifies.

Ex-Putin advisor compares Kherson retreat in Ukraine to the collapse of the Soviet Union

  • A former Putin advisor likened Russia's retreat from Kherson to the collapse of the USSR.
  • Sergei Markov, the ex-advisor, said there will be "really big" consequences for this "huge defeat."
  • Other pro-Kremlin voices also expressed dismay over the announced pullback.
A former advisor to President Vladimir Putin compared the retreat of Russia's forces from Kherson to the collapse of the Soviet Union as the Russian military's mounting failures in the Ukraine war place the Kremlin in an increasingly precarious position.

"The surrender of Kherson is the largest geopolitical defeat of Russia since the collapse of the USSR," Sergei Markov, a pro-Kremlin political analyst and ex-advisor to Putin, said on Telegram.

"The political consequences of this huge defeat will be really big," Markov added.

If the Russian government collapses, how confident are you in the security of the 5977 nuclear warheads that they will no longer control?

The Russian government has collapsed already, back in the early '90s. So what if it happens again? Putin deserves it as much as the commies did.

Oh...That would be just splendid.
Sure would. Do you know what kind of mineral reserves they have over there? Speaking of which, next up should be Venezuela, they don't know what they're doing down there either.

:sneaky: There you go Scooter...That's a much better idea. You go down there and tease the Venezuelans.

Once you "annex" them we can talk about how many American (and whatever conscripts) lives you want to sacrifice trying to pacify convince the Russians they want to be Americans.

I only support voluntary annexation.
