When did the gospel go to the Gentiles?

I only learned this in the last 10 years. One acceptable alternative is he said he would fulfill the law. And at the cross he did. Some say that is what he declared. He finished it. I think the "Paid in full" and "debt is forgiven" is correct. But only because of what Paul taught us with his gospel.
It's all correct!

I'm not sure why there is any need to interpret something Jesus said through Paul’s gospel. The word tetelestai wasn’t invented by Jesus nor was His use of the word ever discussed by Paul. It was a common Greek word used across several domains of life. Those who heard him say it and early readers of the gospels already knew what it meant. They didn't have to wait until Paul showed up to explain it. The deeply complex cultural meaning of the word (e.g. the merchant’s ledger, the judge’s ruling, the priest’s ritual, the soldier’s mission, etc) all help show that the work He was sent to do had reached its goal and that is what Jesus was declaring. Paul later explains that there are applications for Gentiles under grace, but he doesn’t redefine the word.

Only because it is not in the other New Testament letters. It is the main theme of his, and barely gets a mention elsewhere. That is all I mean.
