ECT Who can spot the unbiblical doctrine of Lordship salvation in this song?

The bane of modern fundamental evangelicalism is the teaching that unless you make Jesus the Lord of your life, you are not saved.

See if you can pick out, in this song loosely based on Psalm 51, the thing that David never said.

Hi and what does LORD mean in 1 Cor 13:3 ??

Hi and I meant 1 Cor 12:3 !!

Jesus is Lord. He does not need us to make Him that.
And we are not God's righteousness in any way whatsoever.
That is reserved for Him alone. When we stand in Him, by faith, we partake of His righteousness. We glorify God but we do not add to righteousness in a theological sense.
By His grace He has revealed to us that He is Lord and by faith we recognize it.

God has elevated Him above all names that can be named.
Phil 2:9KJV, Eph 1:21KJV
He is Lord of the converted and unconverted.
He has the keys of hell and death.

Why does it has Lord in Rom 10:9 , is it important ??

Well, of course it is important, but it states that He is Lord Jesus, not that we can make Him that.

I do not follow Mac Arthur's teaching , just so you know !!

John MacArthur is a wonderful man of God and has many terrific things to say.
But, unfortunately, a part of his teaching includes things that we must do along with simply believing to attain unto salvation.
These things need to be reserved for sanctification, not as necessary for salvation.

Lordship salvation arose to combat "Easy Believism".
For this we are thankful, but not at the expense of adding our righteousnesses to those of Christ.

Hi and I failed to show how , important 1 Cor 12:3 is and NO ONE can say LORD except by the Holy Spirit !!

That is why 1 Cor 12:3 and Rom 10:9 , LORD is very important !!

It is one of the PATTERNS of how salvation works !!

Secular example, breaking it down:Lordship Salvation aspect, re. "Making Jesus Lord"(of your life,) is akin to hiring your boss, at your job.

No-he/she, is your boss, whether you acknowledge it, or not.Whoever heard of "hiring" your boss? Insanity....people taking a space walk....surfing the net too much.....
