I had a two-day vacation for using the N-word.
No, not that N-word.
The one you find in the United N-word College Fund.
The one that is the equivalent of Caucasian and Asian.
By the way, just for those who are keeping track ...

I have been aware of the use of "YN's" for some time.
Recently Austin Metcalf's father has popularized "Watermelon Felon".
And just recently I've been exposed to "Hard R's".

According to the internet (which is never wrong), Watermelon Felon was a riff on these two popular cereals 😂

The Yummy Mummy one with the the Monster-Mallows looks pretty good. Is that like the new "Franken Berry" or something? Sadly most of my favorite childhood cereals are verboten here in the fatherland. They have chilled pickled herring in yoghurt for breakfast instead.

But seriously, who needs "Franken Berry" when you can have pickled fish and yoghurt? (They say it's good for a hangover. I think I'd rather have a hangover.)

I don't know that what they did is not illegal. Obviously the DOJ thinks it was...

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in court.

Anna, you are the one who started this thread! It's about racism right? We are talking about racism. That's why we are talking about the SPLC now. Not because they are being charged with wire fraud, but because their foolish actions show they are uncapable of knowing whether or not they aren't actually promoting racial hatred.

We're talking exactly about the charges made by the DOJ, that's exactly where the discussion between you and me began. And whether those charges will hold up in court.

No, I didn't say that. In fact I just got done telling you that is not a particular concern of mine.

You actually did say exactly those words, which is why I quoted them:
Annabenedetti, most of us on this forum already understand that people who support the SPLC, aren't going to actually care if the money is ultimately used to manufacture racial hatred. Right? No one on the planet is expecting you to care about that.

No one else here seems to be particularly concerned about it either.

Appeal to popularity. Let's focus on the subject of the DOJ charges.

Well, God is not stupid.

I wasn't talking about God. I was talking about the SPLC. You keep wanting to make this about me, instead of the subject of our disagreement. Other than an occasional correction made in this post, I'll stay on the subject, so if you want to keep making it about me, I'll leave the conversation.

People like you, who are against the moral standards that God expects us to live by

See, this is where you want to make it personal. I could say just as easily, 'people like you, who excuse and support racists,' couldn't I? But then I'd be trading ad hom for ad hom and I don't have the time or the energy to be outraged at a stranger on the internet whom I don't know any better than he knows me.

understand that at the political level, people generally associate these moral standards and Christian family values with the Republican party. Right? That's why you were angry when Trump, a Republican, was elected president.

So you told yourself, "You know what? I'm going to try to make the Christian standard of morality look bad, by falsely associating their morality with racism. That will make me feel better, because Christians are the ones who tell me I am wrong for supporting things like homosexuality and the murder of unborn children."

"So I told myself?" Nice straw man there. Another logical fallacy. You're literally making up this false narrative of my intentions and then arguing against that false narrative, instead of what I've actually posted.

So you posted a pic of a group of racists, basically claiming "Look! There are more racists now because people voted for a Republican. That is the morality they associate themselves with!"

You didn't do that because Trump or some other Republican was caught, intentionally or even haphazardly funnelling millions of dollars to organizations like the KKK. No, it was the SPLC that was doing that.

I'll point out here that I wouldn't have said (notice how you put it in quotes, as if I'd actually said it) that there are more racists now. The racism has always been here. I have said that Trump made it easier for racists to be out in the open, becoming more, as the title of the thread says, emboldened.

You did it because you were lashing out against Christianity and the moral standards God expects of us. Right? And that's typical. Everybody gets that. There is no mystery that needs to be solved here. Kiddo.

I happen to be a Christian. I will speak out about Christian hypocrisy when I see it. That doesn't make me not a Christian. Kiddo.

NB: Because I'm a Catholic, there are many who will claim I'm not a Christian. That's an argument for a different thread.

@annabenedetti We are telling you the truth because we want you to follow the Lord. There is nothing in the world that is more important than that.

We? I'm only talking to you here. And I don't think you have the facts correct regarding the SPLC.

And for the last correction: I already follow the Lord.

I don't want to be proselytized to, about a different kind of Christianity that excuses racism and in fact promotes it as one of the means (Project 2025) towards a white Christian nationalist authoritarian state. Hopefully you won't take that as being about you because you wouldn't be one of those kinds of Christians.

The only one lashing out and making silly personal comments is you Vlad. Touting an opinion as fact is generally a bad idea and seriously man, who goes around calling people "kiddo"?!!

It really hasn't...

The Left is colorblind but also, morals blind. They pretend everybody's morals are of equal value, it's completely bonkers and is why open border policies, superficially enacted for moral reasons (to address outcome inequality in the World), are actually immoral, because the West is inviting in inhuman animals and they are in fact felons because of their base morals. The upshot is you expose your neighbors to violent crime, which is immoral, all in the attempted service of morality.

It really isn't but you carry on thinking that if ya like.

Your laughable compartmentalization of people on the left of the political spectrum.

You mean the ones who think outcome inequality is a more important moral failure than what some of the violent migrants do to the helpless and defenseless and frequently unaware natives? after they get here? and start causing mayhem? and making what used to be a safe, high trust society into a third World hellscape? Those "people on the left"? or someone else?

I refer you to the answer I gave some moments ago...

Yeah I don't trust those people on the Left, at all. They're wingnuts and bonkers.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in court.

No it won't. It will be just another day, Anna. No one will go to jail and everything will still be the same. Do you understand that?

You actually did say exactly those words, which is why I quoted them:

No Anna. I said supporters of the SPLC wouldn't if care if the ultimate intent of the SPLC was to manufacture more racial hatred when they funnelled millions of dollars to racist organizations. Stop lying.

I wasn't talking about God.

No, you just intuitively know how to lash out against Him and Christians who follow Him. That is not a mystery.

I'll leave the conversation.

The door will hit you on the back-side on the way out.

I could say just as easily, 'people like you, who excuse and support racists,' couldn't I?

No you couldn't.

I don't have the time or the energy to be outraged at a stranger on the internet whom I don't know any better than he knows me.

We know you well enough. There is nothing strange about you, Anna. Some of us were just like you. You are just a typical, normal person who is in rebellion against the Lord. You are not a mystery, right? You are not a mystery, like Enoch or Melchizedek. Of course not. You are just a normal person who hates Christians because they tell you it's evil to support things like murdering the unborn and homosexuality and stupid organizations like the SPLC. Right? You hate it when we tell you that.

"So I told myself?"

Yes. You told yourself you hate Jesus and you hate the Bible so your goal was to associate Christianity with racism when you made your OP. Now it's come back to bite you on the butt because you can't even say for certain that the SPLC didn't organize and pay for the entire photo op.

This is no surprise to people who actually follow the Lord. It is the most unsurprising thing in the world to us.

I'm a Catholic,

I don't care.

I already follow the Lord.

No, you don't.

I happen to be a Christian.

No you are not. You are the enemy of Christians. 100%, Anna.

All you have to do is admit it and salvation will be at your doorstep. It is so easy. But for some people it is the hardest thing in the world.
