So you're really just trolling then, got it.

If you make a risible claim am I supposed to seriously engage you? Like, “ Nobody is trying to trample all over your second amendment rights to own a gun. ” It's like you didn't even read what I wrote, because I addressed this directly. Do you even really read whole posts before responding to them?

Who's the troll? again?

Says the brit whose government has wrongfully disarmed its citizens.
If I buy a gun without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I carry a gun without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I own several kinds of ubiquitous guns (such as the Ruger 10/22) without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I seek the government's permission to do these things and they deny me that permission, how am I to view that as anything other than an infringement on my God-given right to keep and bear arms?

Remember - our rights come from God. Not the government.

Yeah, I'm from the UK and I'm glad to live in a country without such a pervasive gun culture, thanks. That being said, I have zero interest in taking away the rights of Americans to bear arms provided they meet the criteria that allows them to do so.

You drive, right? So, you'll have had to pass a test before being able to do so legally. Provided you drive responsibly, that right won't be affected or stripped away from you. However, if you drive irresponsibly, recklessly or under the influence and are caught it could be, depending on the severity of the offence but you'd only have yourself to blame - unless you think your rights have been infringed upon and you should be allowed to drive like a lunatic? Or maybe you think it's an infringement of your rights to have to take a test in the first place?

A car isn't in itself a weapon, although it can obviously be used as one and just as deadly. Now, unless you think anyone should be able to drive without any tests etc then the same should apply to firearms, it's just common sense. How is it interfering or infringing on your right to bear arms if protocols such as stringent background checks etc are employed? If you're a responsible, law abiding citizen then you've got nothing to worry about. Unless you consider every law we have that doesn't allow people to do whatever the hell they want "infringements" then what's the problem?

Who, exactly is trying to trample all over your second amendment rights? Is someone about to knock on your door and confiscate your firearms or something? If not, then what are you on about?

Well, if someone claimed that 9/11 was a hoax, it wouldn't mean they thought it didn't happen--i.e., that buildings weren't destroyed with thousands of people in them--anymore than claiming JFK'S assassination being a plot by the government meant that it JFK wasn't really dead. Use your brain, Brain.

I don't especially care for Alex Jones, but the penalties as applied are significantly larger than anything else like that. Is it not then being used by some to generate a political outcome by silencing Jones, sort of in a hoax way? Maybe it's a somewhat self-fulfilling prophecy, not to take away guns, but to silence critics.

There's various conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 but there's no denying the horror and tragedy of what happened. In Jones' case he denied that Sandy Hook effectively happened and he only had himself to blame.

"Effectively"? Meaning that he acknowledged something happened, but that there were intentions to create a situation that could be used for other nefarious purposes. These are valid questions to ask, especially in light of other governmental activities, like the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot, and much of Jan 6 2021. Immediately dismissing his assertions because they make someone feel bad, or worse, because he has said things before that someone didn't like, is irresponsible in the extreme.

Jones claimed it didn't happen, that the grieving families of the victims were actors and all part of a false flag operation. How irresponsible is that in your book? There's no mystery surrounding Jan 06 2021 either.

How could anybody be an actor in something that didn't happen?

A false flag operation is not one that doesn't happen, but one that happens for surreptitious reasons. I don't know if the original event was in any way surreptitious, but it was used to silence someone who wasn't liked by certain people, which is surreptitious.

Agreed. But there was some belief at the time that Trump or Trump's supporters were behind it. I'm glad we're in agreement about it.

Once again, read the [redacted] post you're replying to Arthur.

The post:

When interests align, you don't need a conspiracy. That's basically Adam Smith's invisible hand, if you apply the principle to economics at scale. But also when interests align, that is the only time a conspiracy makes any sense as a live possibility. Nobody is going to conspire if their interests don't align.

We're seeing the invisible hand of gun control and it does take advantage of tragedies. It sure does look like that's what's happening.

If you want to engage, engage. Read it and engage.

Ask Jones, he made the unsupportable claims.

You should know fine well that it wasn't by now and Jones deserved what he got, Heck, a few years ago I listened to a couple of infowars broadcasts and they were hysterical. Only the most gullible would buy anything the guy spouts and the adverts were clearly designed at conspiracy cranks.

Hmm, we're really not cos I'm on the side of reality. Some of us saw events unfold in real time and it was obvious who was involved both at the time and now. Hint - it was Trump supporters...

Okay, I picked up on a separate part of your post which was kinda obvious but I'll address this also. What's the problem with gun control exactly? You're not one of these people who think anyone should just be allowed to own a gun are you?

Suicidal people should be kept away from guns.

Agreed. So should plenty of other people who aren't suicidal as well.

This thread's about Sandy Hook. The guy was suicidal. As is near every white mass shooter. Thank God these shootings have seemed to settle down recently. I wonder if people are more actively separating known suicidal people in their lives from guns now.
