If you make a risible claim am I supposed to seriously engage you? Like, “ Nobody is trying to trample all over your second amendment rights to own a gun. ” It's like you didn't even read what I wrote, because I addressed this directly. Do you even really read whole posts before responding to them?

If I buy a gun without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I carry a gun without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I own several kinds of ubiquitous guns (such as the Ruger 10/22) without getting the government's permission to do so they will arrest me and put me in jail.

If I seek the government's permission to do these things and they deny me that permission, how am I to view that as anything other than an infringement on my God-given right to keep and bear arms?

Remember - our rights come from God. Not the government.
