  • Merci. You know, when I looked over and pulled a couple of things out of it I thought, "This is one of the better versions."
I'm not entirely in agreement, but I think there's a good of truth in the critique. Histories, a real exploration of serious literature, like so many formerly valued and honored foundations have been given over to a process that confuses means with end and cannot, for a want of meat to chew, accomplish much for anyone.
Crucible is a Calvinist? Condolences, old friend. Well, you have the shoulders for it or He wouldn't have saddled you. :thumb: :)
It would be good to have a larger conversation...and I went back and cut out a lot of the Must material in The Wrap. I think it's better for it. Hope you're gearing up for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
You know, if the hard right wants to be taken seriously they're going to have to find a representative that doesn't turn into a dipstick the moment someone tells them no. Good grief.
Getting ready to head for the airport in about six hours. Quick question for when I'm back...for some reason when I go to respond to a post, the line beneath the quote tag won't recognize my space bar command. If I begin to type directly behind the quote it's fine and I can then bump the whole line down and continue, but for a couple of days that's been the limitation. No idea what could be causing it. Haven't noticed anyone else speak to it. Odd.
Looking forward to the trip. I'll share a few pictures and Jack's reaction when we return. I know I'm showing him the Little Red Light House, the main library, Grand Central, the Empire State Building, and Central Park. More as time permits, but we're spending a day or so in Connecticut to let him enjoy the Halloween nonsense there as well.

My prayers and best wishes to you and to yours, as always.
    In two parts then.

That's about the size of it, It's interesting and helpful in parts, but most of the time I'm thinking they could have condensed it into a couple of strategy courses and then tack on another in standards and practice and let me at it. I'm biting my tongue over the tests I get from some of my instructors, including one with a Ph.D. from BC...there's a great deal of sloppy thinking and scholarship in the field. Some of it, alarmingly enough, controlling or influencing the course of education.

Well, I knew it would be skating downhill after law, but it strikes me that teachers are mostly born and then given a lexicon and a few helpful forms and notions. The rest you work out as you go.
On the weight class, I noticed. He really should stick to simple declarative, subjective impressions. When he moves beyond them it goes badly for him. I saw his report over the use of Sod...very funny. Almost as funny as Sod reporting me for stalking in a post where I'm literally answering a post CC made about me.

CC doesn't appear to like the Wrap, but seems equally compelled to read it. I think Sod is irked by being locked out of that thread...and maybe by being omitted in it.

Good news unrelated: holding a 4.0 at the mid-point of my Masters matriculation. Had to pass on the Honor Society this time around though. The mandatory initiation event was scheduled for late next week when I'll be in New York, showing Jack the Little Red Light House and Central Park, before taking some time in nearby (relatively) Sleepy Hollow for Halloween magic. :)
Almost as funny, Sod reported me for "stalking" CC using a post where I'm answering a post of CC speaking directly to me. I think he's throwing up a lot of complaints because he's skirting the line with the judgment bit today, but who knows? Maybe he's just that far gone.

CC...I see he's at you too. Just remarkable how easy some people are with that sort of dishonest and juvenile nonsense. Amazing really.
I'd feel badly about CC if he weren't such a willful putz. I see he's found a natural ally...the latest tactic, engineered by 1Mind, is to credit me with my honest mistake (first Obama vote) and not credit my veracity in my second admission regarding my opposition to the reelection or my vocal opposition to voting for Hillary or Trump here. :plain: Trolls to the left of me, mostly to the right of me hollered and thundered. On into the valley of dearth... or something.
Edited my response to DM. I think it's better, cleaner. Either he's working out issues he has with someone else, or he's been around here under an additional username. Peculiarly hostile fellow.
Heh. It may sound self-congratulatory, but there is truth to the matter of the crafty to seek out the more popular and attach themselves to them for their own gain. I try, but fail more than I should, to not to give such folks any more than their fifteen minutes or so. ;)
In hindsight, Sod was mostly a shadow I read into and gave a larger dimension to than warranted by the facts. Now he seems a bit small and, as most shadows will be, dependent. :idunno:
Saw the red streak here and panicked for a moment. Thanks for the nudge. I had no idea. Kind of Knight. I gave what I had, but it wasn't enough for that...my best to you and the whole Arizona clan.
Yes, I told the mods about it. Thanks
I am thinking about making a small donation in Psalmist name? I posted about it in the old "Blue Star Club", if you might like the idea. He was one of the nicer members.
