As you might see from my several recent posts in the "Jesus is Jehovah" thread I do see the Son as Elohim from the beginning. However, if you will notice, the Father, (which would be Kurios in Greek), is not even mentioned in John 1:1. In other words, strictly sticking to texts, contexts, and the usage and meanings of words, the equivalent word for the Tetragrammaton, (Kurios), is nowhere to be found in John 1:1. IMO Elohim is the Son, "the Elohim" are the Elohim-Angels. YHWH Elohim is the Father, (and is not even mentioned in John 1:1). It is actually even possible that the definite article has been removed from Elohim in all places of Genesis chapter one in the Hebrew text, (which, if so, would have read "ha Elohim" like the Septuagint reads "ho Theos"). In Hebrew the article is not tolerated with personal pronouns and therefore ha-Elohim is not a name but "the Elohim", (Angels). I'm not dead set on all this but leaning closer to this understanding the more I learn.

Yeah, wasn't so sure how you meant that but the writings clearly define YHWH as the one Father. What the image file there does is to demote the Father so as to elevate Yeshua. The OP does the same whether he realizes it or not. You're right, imo, if that is what you are jesting at here, that the Oneness people have demoted YHWH to what they think of when they hear the word "God". This really is no different from the age old harmonization problem with the early scribes, who often tried to harmonize the Gospel accounts, when in reality they tried to harmonize things that were never intended to be harmonized. A good example would be Gergesenos, Gadarenos, and Gerazenos: three different places and events which now, thanks to idiots, have nearly been harmonized into what looks and sounds like one event. The oneness people do the same but "bigger".

Hey Freelight, sorry about that, I have not even checked mail here for a long time but just now noticed that it appears they might have reloaded all the messages I had deleted when they changed over to the new forum format a while back, (at least that is the only thing I can imagine must have happened because the box was full of things I thought I had deleted long ago). It should be all clear now, (probably should not comment on JS here anyways as, imo, he does not really seem to care what the scripture actually says).

Been posting a little, just wading the waters. This website has had quite the makeover! Also, it seems void some of the cool people from before. Which isn't to say there aren't new and wonderful people, I suppose. I do look forward to learning more about how things are here now.
