And yet, look at the truly pathetic alternatives!

Complain all you want, but this is the best of the lot right now.

Some of your great President's top accomplishments -

1. Passed Health Care Reform: After five presidents over a century failed to create universal health insurance, signed the Affordable Care Act (2010). It will cover 32 million uninsured Americans beginning in 2014 and mandates a suite of experimental measures to cut health care cost growth, the number one cause of America’s long-term fiscal problems.
DISASTER. The healthcare system is in complete disarray.

2. Passed the Stimulus: Signed $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 to spur economic growth amid greatest recession since the Great Depression. Weeks after stimulus went into effect, unemployment claims began to subside. Twelve months later, the private sector began producing more jobs than it was losing, and it has continued to do so for twenty-three straight months, creating a total of nearly 3.7 million new private-sector jobs.
DISASTER. Nearly 18 trillion in debt and a record number of people are out of the work force.

3. Passed Wall Street Reform: Signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (2010) to re-regulate the financial sector after its practices caused the Great Recession. The new law tightens capital requirements on large banks and other financial institutions, requires derivatives to be sold on clearinghouses and exchanges, mandates that large banks provide “living wills” to avoid chaotic bankruptcies, limits their ability to trade with customers’ money for their own profit, and creates the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (now headed by Richard Cordray) to crack down on abusive lending products and companies.
DISASTER. The rich have never been richer and the poor have never been poorer.

4. Ended the War in Iraq: Ordered all U.S. military forces out of the country. Last troops left on December 18, 2011.
INCREDIBLE DISASTER. Gave rise to ISIS

5. Began Drawdown of War in Afghanistan: From a peak of 101,000 troops in June 2011, U.S. forces are now down to 91,000, with 23,000 slated to leave by the end of summer 2012. According to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, the combat mission there will be over by next year.
DISASTER. See above.

6. Eliminated Osama bin laden: In 2011, ordered special forces raid of secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in which the terrorist leader was killed and a trove of al-Qaeda documents was discovered.
Special forces found Osama. They asked if they could take him out. What choice did Obama have? I'm sure if he weren't pushed into a corner he would have let Osama live.

7. Turned Around U.S. Auto Industry: In 2009, injected $62 billion in federal money (on top of $13.4 billion in loans from the Bush administration) into ailing GM and Chrysler in return for equity stakes and agreements for massive restructuring. Since bottoming out in 2009, the auto industry has added more than 100,000 jobs. In 2011, the Big Three automakers all gained market share for the first time in two decades. The government expects to lose $16 billion of its investment, less if the price of the GM stock it still owns increases.
DISASTER Spending my money to help a failing company isn't a good idea. This is debt we are passing on to our grandchildren. This was nothing but a favor to big labor and a horrible move by our government.

8. Recapitalized Banks: In the midst of financial crisis, approved controversial Treasury Department plan to lure private capital into the country’s largest banks via “stress tests” of their balance sheets and a public-private fund to buy their “toxic” assets. Got banks back on their feet at essentially zero cost to the government.
I'm fairly certain a record number of banks have failed under Obama's watch.

9. Repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”: Ended 1990s-era restriction and formalized new policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military for the first time.
DISASTER. Openly gay people in the military is not something to brag about. This social experiment is extremely unpopular in the military and only weakens and hurts our ability to effectively defend our country.

10. Toppled Moammar Gaddafi: In March 2011, joined a coalition of European and Arab governments in military action, including air power and naval blockade, against Gaddafi regime to defend Libyan civilians and support rebel troops. Gaddafi’s forty-two-year rule ended when the dictator was overthrown and killed by rebels on October 20, 2011. No American lives were lost.
Great! But again this is something ANY President would have agreed to because it was an easy target. Furthermore you can't convince that Obama was excited about this. He probably only did because he knew he had to.

Nothing to do with Obama. He wanted real reform, but the corrupt (democratic) congress couldn't do the right thing.

DISASTER. Nearly 18 trillion in debt and a record number of people are out of the work force.
That's due to many causes, not the least of which was "W"s nonsensical war in Iraq, and Clinton signing NAFTA at the behest of his big corporate campaign donors. Again, nothing to do with Obama, and in fact, he has done more than any president in 50 years to minimize the debt.

DISASTER. The rich have never been richer and the poor have never been poorer.
Obama cannot end the legalized bribery of the legislative branch of government. No president can. We need to do that, ourselves, by un-electing EVERY INCUMBENT REGARDLESS OF PARTY, EVERY ELECTION, until they begin to enact real reforms that make the bribery of legislators illegal, again.

INCREDIBLE DISASTER. Gave rise to ISIS
That lands squarely in George, W. Bush's lap. Thanks to his idiotic invasion and occupation of Iraq, with absolutely NO EXIT STRATEGY.

DISASTER Spending my money to help a failing company isn't a good idea. This is debt we are passing on to our grandchildren. This was nothing but a favor to big labor and a horrible move by our government.
Irrelevant nonsense. The legislature gives trillions of our tax dollars to their corporate cronies every year. The minuscule examples you choose to focus on are irrelevant in the true scale of this corruption. And every politician in every state and in Washington DC is in on it: republicans, democrats, and in every branch of government. Our raging national debt is because we are feeding a bottomless pit of corporate greed with money that we do not have.

DISASTER. Openly gay people in the military is not something to brag about. This social experiment is extremely unpopular in the military and only weakens and hurts our ability to effectively defend our country.
This has almost nothing to do with Obama. It began well before him and will continue well after he's gone. It is something society wants to do.

You are incompetent, you are manipulative, you don't know what to say about jihad, you don't go grieve with the victims, you don't know how stupid it sounded at Glacier Bay this summer when you were 100 years off on chronology, you spend $$ by the Ts, you tell states they don't have the legal right to stop your Syrians, you send out federal agents to enforce situations so HS boy-girls can shower with girls.

Get out of out the Presidency and out of our lives, please.
Just another example of conservatives going through withdrawal - they haven't been able to declare war on anyone for the last 7 years!

I hear they're looking to hire some extra Obama apologists in the near future. You should check that out. :chew:

You should check out reality, sometime, so that you might actually have something to contribute to these discussions, some day.
