Salvation by the Law or by Faith?

Salvation by the Law or by Faith?

Clarify something for me. Are you saying that Paul believed in the law, but broke it? Is that what you think he meant by the last part about his flesh?

If you read Romans 7:8-25, Paul not only believed in the Law but also in the consequences thereof in case of transgression but, as he said, "I know that the Law is spiritual but, what can I do? I am carnal sold under sin." Since he could not get rid of his sinful condition as a Hellenist Jew, he made of himself an exception to the rule that one cannot serve two masters and decided to serve the Law of God in his mind and the law of sin in his flesh. (Romans 7:14,25) and he lived the rest of his life that way. And Paul became of the same type of preacher who shouted from the pulpit, "Do as I say, though not as I do for I am a sinner too."
