It isn't a joke. Longing for a government that knows the difference between right and wrong and wishing we has an actual justice system instead of just-a-system to me shows that we love our country and are sorry to see it go to hell in a hand-basket. Basing our laws on Biblical principles is the best way to accomplish this task.

What do you love about this country, out of curiosity? Always seems you guys love the idea of what this country supposedly used to be, or the idea of what you'd like it to be, but there appears to be very little about America you have to love or be proud of.

Suggesting the law of the land get chucked and replaced with the antithesis of that law doesn't tell me you "love" much about it at all. It is beyond ironic that Enyart suggests by way of improvement a system that this country fought to rid itself of in the first place.

I love that we are free to know and worship our Creator and I would like to keep it that way. The country was somewhat founded on Christian principles and that is what made us great. Turning away from God and becoming more and more humanistic is a sad thing to see and I will always fight the good fight to help individuals and the country as a whole turn back to our Lord and Savior. It is called loving your neighbor, Granite. Not all of us are apathetic like you. Our country has major problems, but I still love my country and want to fight to save it.

The first step? We have to stop murdering our unborn...

:sigh:
What does Christianity have to do with cherry-picked bits and pieces of the Torah?

Anyone?

You got the "somewhat" part right.

And I'm not apathetic. You guys confuse disagreement with you with apathy, and nothing could be further from the truth. We have significant problems and I care about them, so don't waste time with silly comments like that.

Agreed! :thumb:
I'm not getting how supporting this Shadowgov view on government is unpatriotic. I love my country and I really do think it's the best around. I also think it could be a whole lot better and that there's no excuse for it not being so. One of the things I love the most is that it's so clearly designed to be improved upon! It's precisely because I love my country that I want it to grow and be even better!
Not only that but I'd love the good ole US of A to be the one to implement the best possible system of governance and set the example for the rest of the world. If this stuff works the way we're all so confident it would, then I absolutely love the idea of my country being the example.

It has nothing to do with Christianity, moron.

Really? Isn't that what I just got done saying?

Glad to hear you say it, actually. All kinds of revealing admissions coming out in this thread. You've taken a big first step here.:first:

 "This stuff"? What is "this stuff", exactly? If you're going to get serious about this; you'd better find an appropriate label. Let me think about it  :shut:

Let me know if you need some help with that one.

You two crack me up sometimes.

...maybe because supporting it means you support something totally at odds with the United States.

"This stuff." Well, you can't fight stupefying eloquence like that.:rotfl:

A page or so back was the question of seriousness. I don't think anybody is suggesting a violent overthrow of the US. That is ludicrous. I think this is a great country with great ideals, that needs to get its government in order.

A constitutional convention would be a great start!

Article V of the U.S. Constitution describes the mechanism for such a convention.

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Yeah. In other words, lots of luck.
Even it failed, it would be worth it just to watch all the God-haters throwing hissy fits during the process. "No more pornography? What will we do? How will we live?" :chuckle:

Pastor Kevin negative rep for post #47 said:
I bet you don't even realize how arrogant you are.

:sigh:
I could really care less about your opinions. Is there something you wished to debate or is leaving ad-hom negative reps just "your thing"? Does debating just take too much effort on your part?

Lighthouse and Mary Contrary are more than capable of defending themselves and their warped theology.

Why don't you either join the thread and debate the issues, or ignore it altogether? You're just making yourself look like a :chicken: by leaving these lame hit and run negative reps which have no bearing on the thread whatsoever. You don't like me. I get it.

Grow up.

:sozo:The ShadowGov Constitution is not Christian.

Either; debate that, address the OP about where it went, or go away.

Is asking you to put me on *ignore* really too much to ask?

I agree. It's alway been a priority in my life to receive pleasure by laughing at God-haters who revolt against maturity.

:rotfl:

Riiiiiiight. Sure it is, boss. Maturity...hmm. I'll bite my tongue and submit that you might want to find some actual pleasure out of life. (I'll say this much, when a bigoted Holocaust denier is your crutch, you might want to look for fresher material.)

Sad. I mean really, really sad.

I will never throw the baby out with the dirty bath water.

As always, I will let you get the last word in Granite, otherwise every interaction I have with you will go on forever. It's another example of your revolt against maturity - just one of many reasons why I call you a brat.

Perhaps that's part of the problem.

Nobody's holding a gun to your head and making you check this thread out, Jeff. You're doing that to yourself. You're not well clued at best and a bore at worse when you get like this and pretend you know me.

If fantasizing and make believing about Enyart's medieval constitution makes you happy, more power to you. I hope it makes your Sunday that much more enjoyable. Now excuse me, but I've got a fiance down the hall who'd like to go out and about.

Happy Memorial Day.

P.S. Has anyone actually figured out why the document isn't available online? I didn't expect this to be such a difficult question to answer.
