Gosh, you mean a politician's throwing red meat to a constituency and will actually do what they say?

Your faith in those running for office is positively touching.

No one wants or needs your stupid guns.

She is making a claim to do unconstitutional actions! Those cannot be ignored not can they go unpunished! If you ignore what she says and think she can't do it you are just down right stupid.

They are still something to be considered and not overlooked as a damning and dangerous view that will destroy America as we know it.
Conservatives are just as guilty. The difference is I do not apply the opinions of the outliers to all conservatives.

I want her punished if she acts upon it. Plus, she is in a place of authority, if she goes against the constitution she needs to be corrected.

She holds zero authority or office at this time. And we don't "punish" people for changing the constitution. It's designed to be amended.

You strike me as an authoritarian. That or just ignorant.

It can only be changed with a 2/3 majority in congress. If a president try's through executive order they are a tyrant and a dictator and should be impeached. Also, our founding fathers set this amendment up so that it can never be changed. They state very clearly that our gun rights must never be infringed upon. The second amendment must not be changed! In fact I would go so far to say in that our right to keep and bear arms cannot be changed and even if the government says that they changed it it is the right of every patriot to disobey their tyrannical government.

Wrong. That isn't how amendments happen.

There's also nothing whatsoever terribly special or unique about the Second Amendment that would preclude changing it.

You just plain don't know what you're talking about. "Patriot."

You're right, there is more than 2/3 of congress needed.

Article V
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

Yeah, professor, I know how it works.

From your above link:
"And Obama himself is no fool. So when he got elected, they concocted a scheme to stay away from the gun issue, lull gun owners to sleep, and play us for fools in 2012. Well, gun owners are not fools, and we are not fooled. We see the president's strategy crystal clear: get re-elected, and with no other re-elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearms freedom. Erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and exorcise it from the U.S. Constitution. That's their agenda."
What a flash from the past. Wow. :chuckle:

You know, it's really good to see some of that apocalyptic fear-mongering from years past, back in the days when I believed what the conservative talking heads were telling me.

The destruction of the 2nd amendment is coming!

Windsor Ontario, with its strict gun laws is located less than a mile away from Detroit Michigan - the embodiment of the 2nd Amendment taken to its logical conclusion.

Detroit averages 1 gun related homicide daily while Windsor recently went 26 months without a murder.

Despite their close proximity and diametrically opposite approaches to private handguns and automatic weapons, conservative Americans would argue that there is nothing to be learned from the Canadian approach to firearms.

You would, however, have a difficult time convincing Canadians that Americans enjoy more personal freedoms or that private gun ownership has any influence on promoting/preserving their democratic rights.
