THE LORD CHOSE ISRAEL

So if God reveals Himself to someone who is not seeking after Him, perhaps because he was not aware of God, or perhaps because he was in rebellion against Him, can the person then choose to seek God?

In other words, if God makes the first move, can a man respond to that move?
Rom 3:11

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

If the first move is New Birth. It takes a New Spiritual Heart, New Spiritual Will and Spiritual affections to seek the True God.

Yes, yes, I agree with the verse.

If the first move is New Birth.

Why does it have to be "new birth" of someone?

Why can't it be "Christ is born on earth and dies on the cross"?

It takes a New Spiritual Heart, New Spiritual Will and Spiritual affections to seek the True God.

Chapter verse for those things.

Because my Bible says:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Corinthians5:17&version=NKJV

How does one get into Christ?

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. - Galatians 3:26-29 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians3:26-29&version=NKJV

Through faith. Not BEFORE faith, but THROUGH it!

And we know how to get to that point...

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” - Romans 10:9-15 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans10:9-15&version=NKJV

What are they preaching?

Christ crucified and resurrected!

The first move, made by God Himself.
