I am thankfull that God sent his son in my place for justice. I am thankfull that Mrs. M agreed to be Mrs. M. Long list now that I think about it.

I'm thankful for my family (my wife, my son, my daughter, and my newest little one for whom we wait). I'm thankful for my church family. I am thankful for the call of God upon my life and look forward to spending the rest of it in his service. There are many, many more.

I'm thankful for God's instruction and blessings. It's remarkable how He works through circumstance for our betterment...I was telling a friend around here about how the things I normally look forward as part of Christmas ritual won't be on the plate this year. I have an abscess that will curtail eating much (and/or the pleasure of it) until the first of January and my 360 died and won't return til after the holidays. So my game/presents are useless and the food I cook and look forward to will be mostly eaten by others.

And you know what? I haven't been happier in ages. I'm taking especial delight in the anticipation of the giving, in preparing presents and the kitchen for the day and I note how the more I turn my observation and efforts outward the less bothered I am by the piddling distractions that had so much of my previous attention.

What a wonderful present to get and just in time too.

God is most certainly and unfathomably great.

like marbles on glass
I am blessed by knowing God.
I am thankful for my beloved family, an immeasurable gift from Him; blessing pressed down, shaken together and running over.
I am thankful for good friends and laughter,
My delightful doggie,
Morning coffee,
Sunlight through green leaves,
Mountain silhouettes against a twilight sky,
Life.

The first sip of my morning coffee
How my little girl's nose scrunches up when she smiles
Long, long walks
Really good books
