Experiencing one of those dark nights of the soul tonight. They come more frequently. Pray for me, please.

I can't imagine what that is like being without employment. In the forty years that I worked, I was never without a job. I held one continous for thirty years. The last two years was in funeral service, the other job was printing.

But I remember when I was told that I could no longer work and was now disabled, you could have pushed me over with a feather.

Had I any real resources of my own you would be welcome to whatever you required, but I am a land rich inheritance monkey who spent his own money wisely, but not well (if the point was to preserve it). I thought you set from previous ventures, but wondered if the market had impacted your former estate as it has so many (our family fortune is in a sorry state for the market's decline and my brother has met with a similar fate, no longer a captain of the financial world). You should seriously consider the apologetic...there is a real need for those who can extemporaneously defend the faith against these new missionaries of nihilism. I mean to step into it by degrees.

I strongly agree with what you wrote concering godrulz. I think the majority of TOLers are fed up with him. He is a piece of work.

It's just as well...his "argument" had descended into peculiar declarations unsupported by anything more than whim. Perhaps he'll return with a better perspective. I hope so. Flipper raised an interesting consideration regarding Lewis, but I think we can distinguish between argument and insult easily enough by observation of the methodology or lack thereof.

Are we experiencing some sort of ill considered heathen jubilee? :shocked: There has always been speculation that the frenzy of that occurrence (if you understand the costal reference) has something to do with oxygen deprivation, which would go a long way toward explaining a little of the conduct and...let's call it thought, generated by too many of them. :sigh:

What is going on with the new heathen around here? I almost never report posts, but I'm starting to twitch like a hall monitor. Have you seen this? And yes, I decried it publicly and objected by report. There simply has to be a limit and I refuse to feel badly about objecting strongly to that level of disrespect with regard to the person of God.

I seriously doubt that Knight understands how the presence of godrulz limits the full potential of TOL. There are so many talented members who would be more inclined to engage at their full measure were it not for the ennervating drivel that gr spreads around. His only interest is to increase his post count at the expense of proper engagement. It just gets boring to have to deal with him time and time again. No one seems to be minding the store and the drain on one's enthusiasm becomes a waster of time. As long as he is unchecked, others will check themselves.
