  • Hey freelight, I hope that all is well with you. I made out really well at the Oncologist. When the radiation therapy was over, I was a 0.2; now I'm a 0.1! So that is good news. It was 0.8 initially. I'm quite surprised, but thankful. I'm sorry that you went through some harrowing experiences yourself. Those eyebrows take forever to grow back, eh?? May God Knock On Your Door, Also.
And to you as well :) Sorry, I had to wait until I reached the "member plus" status or whatever lol
Realize that it has to be confrontational to a point. I also do think it necessary to contrast our worldviews and again, realize that it isn't to attack you, but it. There is a need of bumping heads regarding a Christian/UB discussion. I truly believe the Bible, if not tenable on all points to others (Noahic flood, talking donkey) is yet a conversation between God and man rather than one man's ideas against a different man's ideas. Necessarily, the conversation must go that direction. Getting you to question your life philosophy and veracity of the UB has to be part of that conversation, I think. -Lon
Hi friend! Good to see you still around. Was going to say hi in that one thread but you had just told forum cop Jr. to butt out, (and rightly so), so I thought I better just bite my tongue a bit. :)
"Is the love and edification levels on TOL rising?" No. 2nd Law of Thermodynamics - the universe is running downhill (and us right along with it). The Bible says it is going to get a lot worse. :sigh:
My concern with him was rather a discussion of his material beyond PG-13 for TOL. It was a disagreement over content, not particularly the man himself. I'd have the same concerns with Maroon 5, by further example. I don't own any artist that has explicit lyrics in their repertoire. I tend to avoid even listening to them to ensure a kid doesn't get a mixed message from me. This too, is my particular concern and friction over the matter. -Lon
I currently fish in a large pond. I have fished trout streams, lakes and rivers and off a pier in the Atlantic. I heard a quote that "whatever you catch in a lake is bait for river fishing." Not sure it's true but would be willing to give it my best shot. :)
Hey freelight - I'm doing well. I'm on my last semester for my Masters in Computer Science. So I'm pretty busy these days :p I do enjoy taking a break from it all and coming on here and discussing theology, or even Buddhist Philosophy. I'm also enjoying the presidential debates - its exciting to see Bernie doing so well. I've identified as a socialist for a long time - but this is the first time I've had someone to really root for.

How is life going for you? :)
