ECT Heretical Teaching of the Word-Faith Movement

I accept word faith as scriptural, but I'm not going to argue against an expose video about TV preachers.

If would be better if you fully understood what the teaching is, and then build a case against it from scripture if you reject it..

As I said, I was in the Word - Faith Movement. I went to Copeland revivals in St. Louis. I've read countless books by Copeland, Hagen, Savelle, Oral Roberts, Marilyn Hickey, etc. I spoke in tongues as did my wife. We nearly double-tithed every year. The New Age Movement started to infiltrate Grace World Outreach Center in St. Louis County. It's now known as Grace Church. My wife told me about the shenanigans going on during the "Happy Hunters" crusade some years before I became a Christian. God opened our eyes. If the Holy Spirit doesn't convict you that striving for riches which are perishable instead of developing a closer relationship with Jesus is more important, no amount of words on my part will ever be adequate. I prefer not to waste my limited amount of time left on this planet on fruitless endeavors.

You'd never convince Andy no matter what you said anyway. I'd be happy to read your detailed testimony, if you ever wanted to share it.

My Blog takes me up to the time my wife and I became members of Grace World Outreach Center in St. Louis County. They started with 37 people in one Sunday Service. When my wife and I left about 5 years later, their membership was around 12,000 - 14,000. The pastor had a vision that he would have a 30,000 seat auditorium for Sunday Service. That didn't happen. Instead, Riverport was built for concerts, and gambling casinos were built on both sides of the Missouri River. We left because of the teaching. We saw "New Age" and "Eastern" practices being embraced by the church. The rudder that kept the church on tract was the pastor's father. When he died, the church started to drift and we started questioning everything he was teaching. My uncle and his family left Grace shortly after we did and started his own, "Inner City" church in a rundown neighborhood theater. He was very active in the Jews for Jesus group.

I'd like to write more about the time between my drowning and becoming a Christian because God really showed his grace to me. But I'm not ready to detail that time yet. There's some joyous times and sad times after I became a Christian that I'll write about, if the Lord permits. He's always been with my wife and me and through all our trials, we've learned to be dependent on him.

Those "Hucksters" need to be exposed! Kenneth Copeland,
the late Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, etc. do not preach the truth of God's
word! Theses "types" preach prosperity, (especially their own) false
doctrine, and signs and wonders that don't come from God!

They're a cancer on the landscape of Christianity, the whole bunch of them!
