Trump never takes responsibility for anything he botches. This is no different. Last pandemic, Obama/Biden had a team ready to go against it, and the death toll was much, much less. Trump knew that COVID-19 was going to be bad, and instead of doing something about it, he lied to us, telling us it was controlled, and would quickly go away. And a quarter of a million people died because of his dishonesty and incompetence. That's his legacy.
It's the third leading cause of death in America, now. Not that high? Only heart disease and cancer is killing more people. And now, because he surrendered to the pandemic, it's going out of control again.

Wear your seatbelt if you like. Wear a full six point racing harness and a crash helmet if you like. Wrap yourself in bubble wrap before you get in the car if you like.

If lots of idiots don't wear them then the death toll 'with belts' % would fall very low.
