The question that progressives don't answer is... what are they progressing toward?

Change for its own sake is irrational.

Yep. They're "progressing" toward state care. I'm not sure what they plan on doing with all the kids they claim control over already. They have approved free abortions, but the new push is to make abortions of Down's Syndrome babies illegal. They take kids away from parents for no reason and give them to foster homes where they are abused. They don't take away kids from drug addicts....no room, I guess. Horrible.

Again, reading between the lines here (and fighting the ipad) but the state seems to feel a strong potential for neglect exists

Wish i could dive into this deeper - i studied a lot of this this past semester in courses similar to those the bananahead was taking

Yeah, the state...... I could tell you horror stories of what I've witnessed just in my small circle of friends and acquaintances.

I know a social worker who used to brag that if she checked on a child and saw any christian material in the house, she would automatically remove the kids to punish the parents and let the "system" determine if there was an actual issue. She said Christianity is child abuse.

Really? I'm not surprised. Home schooling can be a reason for some of these case workers.

Progressing toward pure socialism, total loss of sovereignty to world bodies, destroying every last vestige of the values of western civilization, and the genocide of white Christian heterosexuals. Radical feminists will be spared this genocide. Whites who have been instrumental in implementing this agenda will also be spared. I assure you, that once they have reached their utopia, all whites will be subject to intense interrogation and all records will be searched to see if they towed the progressive line all of their lives.

"Genocide of white Christian heterosexuals"?! Oh wow have you gone full blown flake out...Man, it's a wonder you dare step outside of your home dude. :AMR:

What is it with this manic paranoia with some of you on the far right? If it's not some garbled lunacy about the West being subjugated to Sharia law, it's this rubbish.

If there was a reason to test someone's IQ.....it might be considered. Otherwise, a high IQ doesn't mean someone will be a good or a safe parent.

That's fair enough, it doesn't. A high IQ doesn't equate to being a responsible or caring parent in itself. However, I think in this case it's whether the parents are able to look after a child with a diminished IQ and give their child the care it needs.

Fear sells?

Well it does on the horror channel although most of the films on that aren't exactly scary...

It's just feeble alarmist rhetoric. Ain't gonna happen but it seems as though some zealots aren't 'happy' unless they can envision an impending apocalypse on the horizon...

Right, that's what I'm saying. People like that stuff.

Like doomsday preppers - you've heard of them? They enjoy it - it's a hobby.

I've worked with severely handicapped adults who lacked the capacity to provide safe care to a child :idunno:

Isn't the burden of proof on the state, then? Shouldn't they have to take the parents to court and provide evidence of neglect or abuse?
