Paul's gospel was a mystery. Why don't you believe his report?

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Romans 16:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

For some odd reason, certain groups of posters on TOL have a strong aversion to the Apostle Paul.

The problem is, it was Paul who was chosen by the "Ascended Lord Jesus Christ" to carry the Grace Gospel to the Jew first (who rejected it) then, to the Gentiles.

[h=2]Paul's gospel was a mystery![/h]

Yes, and it was the Gospel of Christ !

Rom 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

So the Gospel of Christ is an Mystery to the natural man ! So the natural man cannot believe the Gospel of Christ, so Paul means in 1 Cor 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Gospel of Christ is foolishness to the natural man, he cant accept it 1 Cor 1:18

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish/lost foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

To be perishing means to be lost, its the greek word apollymi and its the same word Paul uses in 2 Cor 4:3

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost

So all men who are in a lost state, the Gospel of Christ to them is #1 Hidden and #2 Foolisness, its to them a Mystery !

A very famous eschatologist and Bible teacher proposes that God reveals his plans incrementally in order to thwart Satan's attempts to subvert his plans. Even so, Satan has attempted to thwart God's plans over the centuries, acting on the info that he has.

Of course, you believe that Nanja and yourself are the only TRUE Christians on TOL, correct?

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began [Rom. 16:25].

This thread is about the fact that Paul's gospel was a mystery. Do you deny his report?

Paul's gospel was a mystery.

It is still a mystery to most people.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

Paul referred to the Gospel as the "Glorious Gospel" 2 Corinthians 4:4. It is glorious, because it gloriously brings people to Christ.
Paul's gospel is the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, unto our glory, the preaching of the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV)/the crucified Lord of glory

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

The things of the Spirit are things which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual/the deep things of God. Those are the things of the Spirit that the natural man receiveth not (1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV). That is not a passage limiting the gospel's efficacy to only some men as: 1 Timothy 2:4-6 KJV clearly shows the will of God is that all men be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth as the man Chrisdt Jesus gave Himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time!
