Take away Americans guns

Children have no business using guns. They should be taught to stay away from them.

I'm not talking about gun safety. I'm talking about gun regulation. I'm talking about having to learn the legal particulars of how and when a person can use a gun to hunt, in self-defense, and in defense of other people and property. I'm talking about learning how to use different kinds of guns with proficiency, and how to clearly identify a target before shooting. And how to HIT what one is shooting at. And proving these skills to obtain a license to own and use firearms of specific designs. Similar to the way we must study and test to obtain a license to drive specific types of motor vehicles. And I'm talking about in-depth background checks that weed out drunks, drug addicts, wife beaters, stalkers, convicted criminals, the mentally unstable, terrorist sympathizers, and anyone else who has shown themselves to be persistently socially irresponsible. No license: no guns. Get caught, and pay severely.

Otherwise, anyone who can show themselves to be socially responsible, mentally and physically able to use a firearm properly, and willing to abide by the rules applied to their use, could easily obtain a license for whatever type of firearm they choose to own and use. Just as we do with motor vehicles.

I really couldn't care less what the Germans did. This is not Germany. This is not 1930. And no one is proposing taking guns away from Jews.

Are you a city person who grew up without a father?

If teengers are not allowed to have and use guns, as adults they are less likely to be able to use them to survive when needed and to respect what guns can do to people. Hank Williams Jr sings in "A Country Boy Can Survive," that "And you can't make us run, 'Cause one-of-'em old boys raised on shotgun." Many country boys were raised on shotguns.

I have heard that many American fighter pilots were better in combat against German or Japanese fighter pilots because as boys many of the Americans had learned how to lead a target, like a running rabbit or a flying Quail, and applied that learning to combat in the sky.

Why is it, then, that the crazies in all those other countries that have gun control don't shoot thousands of their citizens every year?

They don't have the liberty to defend themselves or they have resigned that liberty to the state. Incidently these counties of which you speak most likely have banned personal gun ownership altogether and that just will not happen in this country, that ship already left the harbor over 200 years ago at this country's inception.

Are our crazies really that much more intent and resourceful than theirs?

I would say yes, and with the help of an administration that doesn't even enforce the existing gun laws to begin with, ignores immigration laws, and pretty much any other laws he personally has a rub with why would anyone else obey the law.

Never mind, you'll be incapable of even considering the question. You'll just see it all as some giant conspiracy designed to infringe the interminable narcissism of the American ignoramus.

No that would be the infringement of inalienable rights of the citizenry...it is the ignoramus' such as yourself that not only don't understand your rights under the constitution or what it took to secure them but, are willing to give them away for a pseudo sense of safety and a nanny state government that takes care of you from cradle to grave, which shows just what a lazy slug you really are.

Canada, with whom the US shares 5525 miles of border, has strict laws preventing private citizens from possessing handguns and automatic weapons.

What proof is there that these restrictions have resulted in Canadians having any fewer rights and personal freedoms than their American counterparts?

If there were such obvious advantages to establishing a 2nd Amendment, why has the Canadian public not demanded than one be introduced, and why are there no walls along America's border preventing their northern neighbors from seeking political asylum?

No one individual could kill 50 innocent Americans and wound another 53 without access to an automatic assault rifle with large magazines of ammunition.

Assault rifles were designed for only one purpose - so we shouldn't be surprised when disturbed "lone wolves" have access to them!

Pipe bombs, poison gas, pressure cooker bombs, fire bombs etc.

The followers of the traitors might say that there is no Marxism in the U.S., that political correctness has nothing to do with Marxism, and that there is no danger to the lives of American citizens by the supposed one million Islamic "refugees" brought into the country recently.

The Authoritarian Personalty by Theodor Adorno was published in 1950,. It followed an ideology developed by the Frankfurt School in Germany before many of the Frankfurters migrated to the United States in the thirties. The Frankfurt ideology taught that Christianity and the patriarchal family created a type of character that was prone to racial prejudice and fascism.

The Frankfurters included antisemiticism in the racial prejudice they claimed was caused by Christianity and the family. The generation of Frankfurters who brought Transformational Marxism to the U.S were all secular Jews. But some of their American follower change agents like Carl Rogers and Normon O. Brown were not Jewish. Of course, to say that the generation of Frankfurters who migrated to the U.S. in the thirties were all secular Jews is "racist" and "antisemitic."

The German Frankfurters who came to the U.S. saw that the United States was, in the thirties, dominated by Christianity and the patriarchal family. The Frankfurters then set out to gradually turn America off on Christianity and the patriarchal family, and our American culture which the Frankfurters saw as being prejudiced toward certain minorities, especially Blacks and Jews.

Political Correctness began in the major American universities within what we then called the Women's Liberation and Black Power movements in the period of the late sixties to the early seventies.

And that early Political Correctness was influenced by Adorno's 1950 book, The Authoritarian Personality and the Frankfurt School's ideology that Christianity and the American patriarchal family cause fascism and both must be weakened and finally done away with.

"Once the earthly family is discovered to be the secret of the
heavenly family, the former must be destroyed (annihilated), in theory
and in practice." Karl Marx, Feuerbach Thesis #4

Betty Friedan and other second wave feminists, plus other social engineers in personality-social psychology, psychoanalysis, and psychiatry, under the influence of the Frankfurters were important in the creation of Political Correctness. Some of these social engineers who followed much of the ideology of the Frankfurt School were Abraham. H. Maslow, Carl R. Rogers, Normon O. Brown, Irven Yalom,
Eric Fromm and Benjamin S. Bloom. You could add Wilhelm Reich to this list of change agents, who followed many of the teachings of he Frankfurters.

Starting from the Frankfurt School's ideology saying that Christianity and the patriarchal family were the cause of the Authoritarian Personalty - stated in a pseudo scientific way in Adorno's The Authoritarian Personalty - a simple method of opposing, diminishing and perhaps finally destroying the culture of the West was created by the end of the seventies.

Political Correctness uses a form of the Marxist version of the Hegelian dialectic. In this dialectic life, culture, language, borders, and people are overly-simplified. In the simplified dialectic there is a direct opposition made outstanding in public perception to white Christian heterosexual males and the value placed on them by an older culture.

The white, Christian, heterosexual males and the older culture that valued them are the thesis and the opposition to this thesis is the assertion that they are racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic (and anti-lesbian). In the Hegelian dialectic the opposition to the thesis is called the antithesis. The Greek word αντιθεσεις or antithesis, is found in I Timothy 6: 20. Other Greek words mean opposition, but αντιθεσεις is a term used by the Greek philosophy of the dialectic before the time of Christ.

And if they are in fact racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic (and anti-lesbian)? You say "assertion," yet there's no doubt that people can be bigots, can hold these biases. You're basically saying that anyone who sees and identifies racism is either a Marxist "change agent" or has been influenced by one. In this, you're imposing your own version of political correctness in an attempt to control the narrative to your specifications, which apparently give a free pass to someone who's a member of a "white Christian patriarchal" group to say - or be - as racist or sexist or bigoted as he likes. Because patriarchy.

You keep stating the same ideas over and over, but that doesn't make them correct.

A Dostoevsky character in Crime and Punishment says: "If there is no God, everything is permitted." Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud agreed that if there is no God, then anything man wants to do is permitted.

Freud said: “... it would be an undoubted advantage if we were to leave God out altogether and honestly admit the purely human origin of all the regulations and precepts of civilization.”
Apparently this statement is from Sigmund Freud's, The Future of an Illusion, 1961.

Die Frankfurter Schule, or the Frankfurt School, were a group in pre-Nazi Germany who were
Marxists but believed that the transformation of society in the West could not be achieved by violent revolution as it was in Russia. They thought that the transformation of society in the West would be best achieved by a slower process of taking over the major institutions of education, church Christianity, art, and the media such as movies, books and magazines, in other words, the cultural institutions.

Without God, a society under Transformational Marxism ends up in nihilism. God gives over, the society itself, or parts of society gives itself over, to some forms of nihilism. The "springtime of revolution" appears as something positive, an exciting time, but it is just the beginning of the move into nihilism.

By 2016, sixty-six years after the publication of Adorno's The Authoritarian
Personality and the entry of Transformational Marxism into American society, we can see
forms of nihilism as a result.

Wanting to destroy parts or all of the Bill of Rights is a form of nihilism, because the results can be anticipated before they occur. In other words, history shows that Marxism leads to death of many individuals and death of a culture which brought some life. The Second Amendment is not the only part of the Bill of Rights which is under Marxist attack.

Dumbling down the population in order to help bring in a collectivist culture is also nihilist in its results. Those who are dumbed down may not see the result as nihilistic, and are not even aware that public school education is now taught at a lower cognitive level than it was taught at before the sixties. See: http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/MomsPDFs/DDDoA.sml.pdf The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, 1999. Charlotte Iserbyt's The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America probably helped lead Dean Gotcher to the understanding he has about the takeover of the American educational system and the role of Benjamin Bloom and his Taxonomy of Educational Objectives in this takeover. Bloom was a follower of the Frankfurters.

But again, few would admit that a follower of the Marxist Frankfurters - Benjamin Bloom - set up a system to force all public school teachers to study and pass an exam based upon Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives in order to become certified.

Paul in II Timothy 3: 1-7 gives us his prophecy about the personality traits
of people in the last days. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Paul mentions traitors, which is very interesting, because the traitors are among those leading the multitude down the road to nihilism.

Some people on Internet forums appear to be so interested in winning debates that they bash, mock, and misrepresent what others have said as part of their insulting and harassing interaction. These people
ridicule what others have posted, and may seem to destroy carefully documented positions of others on issues. Internet nihilists, sometimes called "trolls," often mock those who they target. Misrepresention of what others have said is a tactic of the dialectic. But the followers of the traitors do not know what the dialectic is nor do they want to find out. They would invite Ol Dean Gotcher to leave any meeting or church where he was talking about the dialectic.

The characteristics of those with Antisocial Personality Disorder are relevant to the traits shown by the nihilists who are followers of political correctness. The nihilist does not know very well the difference between right and wrong.

Psychopaths have lack of conscience, they tell lies habitually, and they often want to get the best of others.

Then look at what is said about the psychopath on http://soulesspsychopaths.blogspot.com/2009/04/psychopaths-are-devil-incarnate.html

"Ridicule is one of the most effective weapons in the arsenal of the psychopath." "Remember that the psychopath views others with nothing but contempt and disdain. The psychopath always expects to win." The psychopath...wants to win out over his or her target in debate by methods other than use of the facts and honest representation of the position of the person targeted." The psychopath likes to put something over on his opponent, often by way of deception, and wants to get the best of others.

The site goes on to say that psychopaths "Make others apologize for telling the truth...Make others waste their time by putting them on the defensive to make them prove every point;"

Again, Dean Gotcher would agree that those who treat all statements as opinion are perfect Marxists.

Can the government save you? Terrorists focus their attention on soft targets, places without armed law enforcement present. Guns are banned in France, and after the people were dead, an investigation is started. Banned guns in other nations did not save anyone. People in government cannot defend us, so they blame guns for the shooting in Orlando to deflect from their failure to effectively combat terrorism. I would think that people would want a chance to save their life.

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/05/24/suicides-account-for-most-gun-deaths/

"Suicides by gun accounted for about six of every 10 firearm deaths in 2010 and just over half of all suicides, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Since the CDC began publishing data in 1981, gun suicides have outnumbered gun homicides. But as gun homicides have declined sharply in recent years, suicides have become a greater share of all firearm deaths: the 61% share in 2010 was the highest on record. That year there were 19,392 suicides by firearm compared to 11,078 homicides by gun (35% of all firearm deaths). The rest were accidents, police shootings and unknown causes."

Opinion is better than facts for having more arguments on a forum. The dialectic operates best by use of opinions.

If the U.S. still had morals, there would be an effort made to find out what in our culture and society is leading to suicides, and try to change the culture and society to prevent suicides.

Where did American morals come from in the past, when America was "racist and sexist?" Our morals came from Christianity.

But - in Daniel 12: 7 the spiritual and earthy power of the holy people is scattered, which means the spiritual power of the II Timothy church is diminished. The salt has lost its savour, as Matthew 5: 13 says, and the Greek word translated as savour is moraino. Strong's says moraino, number 3471, is from moros, number 3474, which means "dull or stupid,.i.e, heedless, absurd, foolish."

The Church has lost its intelligence, its spiritual power, and with that loss it has lost its influence upon secular society. The church does not provide morality to society as it did in the past.

The Scriptures say at the end of the age there will be a time of great deception, a Falling Away from the truth, the Strong Delusion, the Snare, and the Leavening of the Kingdom of God.

During the falling away of II Thessalonians 2: 3 and the leavening
of Luke 13:18-21, the Christian II Timothy
Church, which is never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and
resists the truth (II Timothy 3:7-8), came into existence.

You might expect more suicides in a society and culture that has been spiritually diminished and where nihilism is increasing.

What does nihilism mean? "(moral nihilism) rejects the possibility of absolute moral or ethical values."

"is the belief that not only is there no intrinsic meaning in the universe, but that it’s pointless to try to construct our own as a substitute."

"Suicide due to life being ultimately meaningless and therefore either too boring or too painful."

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2844519/posts

Nihilism is the result of rejecting belief in a transcendent God.

"Nihilism is spiritual, moral, and intellectual suicide..."

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" Deuteronomy 30: 19

" I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10" 10

And yet the death rate due to autos is still higher than death by gun...so your point is?
The death rate by motor vehicle misuse would be much, much higher if we were not regulating the ownership and use of motor vehicles. Just as the death rate by firearms in the United States is much, much higher than in the countries that regulate their citizens' ownership and use of firearms.

The point is that the regulation of dangerous mechanical devises saves many lives. Especially mechanical devices that are either very widely used, or are designed to kill or main human beings. Such as motor vehicles, and firearms.

France doesn't permit gun ownership anymore than than England, but that didn't stop the terrorist attack they just suffered.

So how does gun ownership become relevant over here when an attack happens?

This is the charade they play- they don't want to blame the Islamists, they don't want to take accountability for their own safety, and they don't care about the pitfalls of an authority being the only armed entity.
They put it on conservatives, and care more about a temporary peace rather than an establishment that will avoid the constant loop of tyranny.

These kinds of quotes are nothing more than a disingenuous attempt to divert attention away from the obvious!

We all know that automatic assault rifles have become the weapon of choice by mass murderers after the ban was lifted.

The fact that the Republican majority in the House and Senate would prefer to go on their summer vacation, rather than pass legislation to prevent those on the FBI "no fly" list from buying firearms legally, speaks volumes.

Apparently the private agenda of the NRA takes precedence over the wishes of 90% of American citizens who would approve such "common-sense" legislation.

Our conservative friends would prefer to protect the 2nd Amendment rights of a few dangerous individuals over the rights of those innocents they are all too willing to sacrifice!

Windsor Ontario is less that a mile from Detroit Michigan with both connected by the Ambassador Bridge over the Detroit River.

Detroit averages one homicide (usually gun related) every day while Windsor recently went over 26 months without a homicide.

The good citizens of Detroit have all the benefits/protections associated with the 2nd Amendment while those poor deprived Canadians in Windsor have access to hunting rifles - but not handguns or automatic weapons.

Americans live with the pervasive fear of Islamic immigrants from the Near East - Canada recently welcomed 25000 Syrians between November 2915 and March 2016 as part of an election promise.

To date there has not been one documented incident of any of these new Canadians committing or threatening to commit a terrorist act.
