Who Justifieth the Ungodly

Sinners that are Justified before and by God before they believe!

This is a Grand Gospel Truth that false religion can't and won't believe. However scriptures do declare this gracious truth.

One passage that shows this Rom 8:33-34

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Now from a proper understanding here, those Christ died for are not charged with anything, and so consequently they are Justified !

Amen, they are not charged with anything!

The Elect were Justified from Everlasting in their Surety Christ Jesus Heb. 7:22 who took their sins upon Himself Is. 53:6.

Ps. 32:1-2
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Rom. 8:30
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

So then, as a confirmation of God Justifying them in Eternity, it's revealed to their conscience in New Birth when they are given Faith Rom. 5:1.

This is True of every sinner that has their sins taken away by Christ before they believe. Now lets look at Jn 1:29

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

This world of guilty sinners is Justified before God before they believe, because Christ took away their sins before God before they believed. And this world is an elect world, Elect Israel as here Rom 11:26-27

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

When did God Take away elect Israel's sins ? By the Lamb of God Jn 1:29, and by that Israel elect is Justified from all sin before God, even before they believe !

Exactly, God given Faith gives evidence/assurance, conviction that God has already Justified them !

Elect sinners Christ represented are Justified before God before they believe as they became sinners in Adam who represented them before they sinned Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

To be made righteous and to be Justified are one in the same!

That's because the Elect of God are in Christ before they believe Ephesians 1:4. And there's no condemnation to them which are in Christ Rom 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We must be first in Christ to bear Spiritual Fruit Jn 15:4-5

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

And Faith is a Spiritual Fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

That's why believing on Christ shows one not to have been condemned!Jn 3:18

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

But he was not condemned before he believed, because he was in Christ before he believed!

This is True once again because sinners Christ died for are by His death alone, redeemed from the curse of the Law before they believe Gal 3:13

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Hence they are redeemed from and Justified before God from the curse of the Law before they believe !

Unconditional Justification !

What means this saying ? Its Justification by Grace !

That's what the scripture teaches right here Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Notice Justified FREELY BY HIS GRACE !

Now that word freely is the greek word dórean and means:

as a free gift, without payment, freely.

something freely done (as gratis), i.e. without "cause"; unearned (undeserved); freely given (without cost) hence not done out of mere obligation or compulsion.

Notice its something done without cause. The cause cant be ones Faith or Repentance, that would overthrow Grace, because Paul says of Grace Rom 11:6

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Paul informs of the cause of Justification by Grace, its totally outside the sinner being Justified, its through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus, which simply means by His Death, Heb 2:9

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man

Every man here has been freely Justified by Grace through the redemption that is in Jesus and that unconditionally !

Amen, and this portion of mankind that has been Justified freely by God's Grace Rom. 3:24, was given them in Christ Jesus before the World began 2 Tim. 1:9, based solely on His Blood as the Lamb slain before the foundation Rev. 13:8 on behalf of them all: His Sheep John 10:11, 15; Heb. 13:20.

All the sins they would commit in time were already imputed to Christ, and His Righteousness charged to them. Therefore, they were freely Justified from all sin as a consequence of being Chosen in union with Him Eph. 1:4-7, according to the riches of His Grace, from Everlasting.

Ps. 32:1-2
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Two ways elect sinners are Justified before God before they believe or have Faith. 1. By Christ being made a Surety for them Isa 42:6

6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Heb 7:22
By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

The simple fact that Christ was made a Surety Justified the Elect before God. And again they were Justified by the Substitutionary death of Christ upon the tree. Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

He was raised again because of the Justification of them He was delivered for, many of whom had not yet believed.

Raised again for our Justification !

Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

This is perhaps the clearest scripture declaration setting forth the awesome Truth that sinners, offenders, transgressors that Christ died for, were by His death, Justified before God, for the phrase "
was raised again for [on the account of]our justification." declares it !

The word FOR here is the greek word preposition Dia and means:

the ground or reason by which something is or is not done

  1. by reason of
    on account of
    because of for this reason
    therefore
  2. on this account

Now what can be so clear of a statement than this, that those whom sins Christ was delivered up for, are here declared to be, shown to be Justified by His being raised up !

Raised again for our Justification !2

Lets look at this some more. See Christ as the Surety Head Representative of the Elect or His Church/Sheep in their room and or stead, He was actually and indeed Justified from all the sins of theirs that was charged/imputed to Him. He was judicially exonerated in the court of Gods law and justice as their Head and Surety Representative, and Victoriously seated at the Right Hand of God for them Rom 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Now Christ's Justification from the Sins of those He represented, His Spiritual Seed, was their actual Justification also. Isa 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

A proper understanding of this Truth in Rom 4:25 gives this reasonable conclusion, that those sinners Christ died for, the Elect of God,prior to faith, repentance or conversion, they are reconciled to God and totally Justified before Him.Now this can't be said of all men without exception, for some without faith are condemned already Jn3:18.

Amen Brother! All the Elect chosen in union with Christ [His Seed Eph. 1:4] their Surety Head, even before Adam their Federal Head sinned, were already Justified, completely discharged from all condemnation of it Rom. 4:6-8, solely based upon the Promise of their Surety to in time be delivered up for their sins. So all these Elect in Him, were even from Everlasting, seated at the right hand of God In Union with their Surety before the world began John 17:5 !

Being Justified by the Death of Christ is foretold in the OT also !

Isa 53:11

1 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

The Many are Justified for whom He bare their sins, it agrees also with Roms 5:9,19 by His Obedience unto Death [in route to bearing their sins] shall many be made Righteous, or Justified.

In fact some translators renders Isa 53:11

Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.

Justified before God apart from our faith/ believing !

This is a truth that carnal religion cant receive, because its a stranger to the Grace of God to sinners through Jesus Christ. However the Elect of God,those Chosen in Christ before the foundation, both old test and new test believers, were Justified before God, before faith, while ungodly in themselves, by the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. First of all, Christ came into the world on their behalf to fulfill all the Righteousness of the Law for them. Paul writes on that here Rom 8:3-4

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

In this He fulfilled the Law Matt 5:17

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matt 3:15

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Now Christ the Surety Head of His Sheep, Church, Gods Elect has perfectly obeyed every command of Gods Perfect Holy Law, in deed, thoughts and speech, in that unto them, its counted as if they did it themselves, because its imputed to their credit as an free gift of Righteousness Rom 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ)

Its an gift by imputation, God considers it so, thinks it so, deems it so, pronounces it so Solely upon the Active Law keeping Obedience to His Law by Christ in their place and stead !

Justified before God apart from our faith/ believing !2

Now not only did Jesus Christ provide the Elect a Justifying Righteousness which Honors every precept of Gods Moral Law Isa 42:12

21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

But He also for them subjected Himself unto the curse of the Law, hencing paying their debt, and satisfying Gods Law and Justice on their behalf Gal 3:13

13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree

He redeemed us from the curse of the law, by being made a curse for us in His Death, So by that God has freely forgiven us and accepts us as Justified/Righteous Rom 3:24

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption[Gal 3:13] that is in Christ Jesus:

This redemptive Justification is apart from the redeemed believing it, or even knowing about it. They shall know about it one day in their lifetime when God is pleased to reveal it to them ! Hence the Just, redeemed shall live by Faith !
