Now Christ the Surety Head of His Sheep, Church, Gods Elect has perfectly obeyed every command of Gods Perfect Holy Law, in deed, thoughts and speech, in that unto them, its counted as if they did it themselves, because its imputed to their credit as an free gift of Righteousness Rom 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ)

Its an gift by imputation, God considers it so, thinks it so, deems it so, pronounces it so Solely upon the Active Law keeping Obedience to His Law by Christ in their place and stead !

Christ Jesus, as Covenant Head and Surety of His Sheep [All God's Elect given Him of the Father from everlasting], kept God's Law perfectly on their behalf. Thus they are Justified by imputation of His Righteousness to them, and their sins imputed to Him Rom. 4:6-8; 5:18-19; Is. 53:6.

John 17:4
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

That is, He has accomplished their Justification: Their Eternal Salvation is guaranteed!

All God's Elect Covenant People Is. 45:17, were Justified by Christ's Obedience in His Life and Death for them.

So Christ's acceptance by God also included them Chosen in Union with Him; His Sheep, His Body the Church, the Israel of God, for they are all One In Him Heb. 2:17.

This redemptive Justification is apart from the redeemed believing it, or even knowing about it. They shall know about it one day in their lifetime when God is pleased to reveal it to them ! Hence the Just, redeemed shall live by Faith !

Amen, it's revealed to each one of God's Elect in the Gospel by God given Faith Gal. 5:22 when they are passively Born of the Spirit, Given New Birth Eph. 1:13; John 3:27.

Gal. 3:13-14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Gal. 4:4-7
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Know this one thing about understanding Rom 4:5
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
It does teach that those Christ died for are in a state of Justification even while naturally in a state of ungodliness! And though they are ungodly in themselves, God for Christ sake counts them righteous!

Therefore God Justifies unbelievers !

I know this will draw the opposition of those who oppose the Gospel of Gods Grace, but its true and Rom 4:5 confirms it, that God Justifieth the Ungodly while being so , and so He Justifieth them while unbelievers, for Believers are never called ungodly ! This means that sinners Christ died for are made righteous prior to their believing or personal faith in Christ !

Excellent points!

They are made Righteous because it is God who Justified them solely based upon Christ's Blood from Everlasting Heb. 7:22; 13:20; Is. 53:6; Rom. 5:9; Rev. 13:8. Therefore those Christ died for were Legally declared Justified by God even while being unbelievers and ungodly, and enemies of His Rom. 5:10. These Election of Grace Rom. 11:5 had no sins imputed to them as other people do, because their sins were already imputed to Christ, and His Righteousness imputed to them Ps. 32:1-2.

But if it's one's own act of believing, or personal faith that is their actual Justification or Salvation, then they are making themselves justified by what they do, which makes themselves their own savior.

The Free Gift of Justification!

Justification is given to some, Gods Elect as a Free Gift. Rom 5:16
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

All the Elect whom Christ died for, Received as a Free Gift Justification from all there offences!

The Free Gift of Justification!cont

A nugget of truth found in this scripture Rom 5:16 that the religion of man will deny is this Rom 5:16

And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

The free gift here through Jesus Christ, as opposed to the condemnation/judgment by the one who sinned, the free gift is UNTO Justification ! In other words what Christ did for the elect He represented resulted in their Justification from all their offences. The word unto is the greek prep eis and means:

a primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.)

Just as Adams one act resulted in Judgment/condemnation of many he represented, so likewise Christ's obedience resulted in Justification of those He represented. Not a possible Justification, a made available Justification, a offered Justification, but it resulted in their Justification, and of course Christ's resurrection evidences the same Rom 4:25

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification

Amen ! Spiritually speaking, Christ's Church, being Chosen In Union with Him Eph. 1:4-7 their Covenant Head Heb. 8:6, are One Body Eph. 5:30-32, and being so, they were never under condemnation at any time Rom. 8:1.

For the punishment they incurred in Adam their federal head, was Justly executed upon Christ their Surety Head Heb. 7:22 instead of them Is. 53:6, even from Everlasting, by the fact that no sin was imputed to them, but to Christ their Surety instead Heb. 7:22; 13:20.

Consequently, God's elect never having any sin imputed to them Ps. 32:1-2 is the Precious Gift of Justification Rom. 5:16 !

He that Justifieth the Ungodly !

Rom 4:5

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Does this mean that God Justifies men even when they themselves are ungodly ? That word ungodly means:

destitute of reverential awe towards God, condemning God, impious,

irreverent, i.e. (by extension) impious or wicked:—ungodly (man).

And yes it means what it says, God Justified some men [His Elect] while they were the Ungodly, or being ungodly, even enemies Rom 5:10.

Now I know this is a truth that the natural man receives not, its foolishness to him !

Now Paul is showing a contrast here in this portion of scripture, in how a person is Justified before God, not based on his work [something he did], but was brought to believe by God given Faith, that God Justified them while they were Ungodly, Enemies.

This is True because those Christ died for, died for their sins, offences, He was raised again for their Justification Rom 4:25

Who was delivered for[because of] our offences, and was raised again for[because of] our justification.

Christ resurrection is proof positive that those for whom He died, Gods Law and Justice has been completely satisfied for them, hence God raised Him from the dead as an evidence of their Justification.

See Christ's resurrection is proof that those He died for are not in their sins 1 Cor 15:17

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

But thats what God given Faith testifies of and is evidence of, that Christ's resurrection is an evidence that those He died for have been Justified, declared not guilty and righteous, based solely upon the blood shed of Christ.

So that means that those who would believe in the future, that before believing, they were Justified while Ungodly. See an Elect Person isnt born a believer, even though they are born sinners and ungodly enemies, by nature. Yet because of the death of Christ for their sins, they were Justified, and Christ's resurrection was evidence, so when they do finally come to believe, they believe on Him that had Justified the Ungodly. And thats the Righteousness their God given Faith looks to Rom 4:5

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Thats is, what His God given Faith testifies to, which is the Justification/Righteousness they had while being ungodly !

See that word Justification in Rom 4:25 means:

  1. the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him
  2. abjuring to be righteous, justification

God given Faith is given to make known, reveal this righteousness to the mind and heart of the Justified sinner, for whom Christ was delivered for their sins !

Many in mans religion evade the Truth of scripture that those Christ died for, His Elect, His Sheep, His Body the Church, they evade the fact that they are by the blood of Christ alone, shed for them, Justified Rom 5:9, forgiven/redeemed Eph 1:7 even while in a unconverted, dead in trespasses and sins state. Even then they are reconciled to God while being enemies Rom 5:10. They were never under Gods Wrath, nor His Condemnation, as other men and women are, no, not even while they are children of wrath by nature as others Eph 2:2-3. The only thing is this, their Justification before God, Forgiveness of sins, and Peace they have with God through Jesus Christ Blood, its not manifested/revealed to them by Faith until they are born of the Spirit and then Called effectually by the Gospel !

Perfectly stated !

Therefore, God causes His Elect Sons Eph. 1:4-5 to partake of a New Nature [Born of the Spirit] that corresponds to their Justified status which Christ Procured on behalf of them, His Sheep, as their Saviour and Surety Heb. 7:22, Christ the Lamb Rev.13:8b; Is. 53:6; satisfying God's Law and Justice on their behalf, reconciling them to God by His Blood from Everlasting Rom. 5:9-10; Heb. 13:20.

To be Justified !

What does it denote to be Justified ? One of the things it does signify is to be forgiven of sin, not guilty of guilt, to be acquitted!

For instance, one of the consequences of Christ's death for the elect is to be purged from their sins Heb 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The word purged here is the greek word katharismos and means:

cleansing, purifying, purification, literal, ceremonial, or moral; met: expiation.

a cleansing from the guilt of sins

Christ sacrificial death alone effected for those He died a cleansing from the guilt of their sins.

Thats Justification! It also corresponds to Rev 1:5

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

The connotation here is a releasing, loosing, a dischagre from their sins, from the guilt and penalty of them, and so equates to Justification from sin.

In Rom 4:25

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Justification here denotes :

acquittal, emphasizing Christ's full payment of the debt for sin which delivers from all guilt and condemnation for their sins !

Now none of this has to do with ones faith, believing, repentance, but solely accomplished by the death of Christ. Those Christ died for are Justified before God solely by His death for them!

Before then their own works of faith, believing and repentance are merely works of the flesh that can't please God Rom. 8:8.

Christ death Justified unto life all for whom He died !

Mans religion denies this glorious truth, by teaching that there are sinners Christ died for that shall be lost !

However the Gospel Truth is clear Rom 5:18

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Who are the all men here ? Simple, all men who were Justified to life, as a free gift, by the righteousness of one. That righteousness speaks to the active and passive obedience of Christ in the place of and stead of all for whom He represented, His Church !

This is so True !

Christ's Church had Justification to Life even from Everlasting, before they came to exist in Time, based solely upon His Covenant Engagement as their Surety Representative and Saviour Heb. 7:22 before the world began 2 Tim. 1:9, making it utterly impossible that any of them shall be lost.

Therefore, Christ's Church constitutes that World which God was in Christ reconciling to Himself 2 Cor. 5:19; no sin was ever imputed to them, but to their Surety instead !

Amen, and both the Imputation of Christ's Righteousness, and the Non Imputation of sin Ps. 32:1-2 were received passively by God's Elect; being Justified from Everlasting in their Covenant Head and Surety Heb. 7:22: Rev. 13:8b. Their sins / iniquities were not imputed to them, but were laid on Christ Is. 53:6 in the Everlasting Covenant of Grace Heb. 13:20. And this was before they were given Faith in New Birth to Believe on Him in Time.
