That kid wasn't afraid of anything. I doubt he'd ever been spanked or even grounded in his entire life. Nope, he was a spoiled brat who thought he'd have something cool to put on his facebook page.

It's amazing how you sum things so quickly, with no evidence whatsoever, just slinging poop on unsuspecting souls so matter of fact like. Pretending you know what folks think. It seems to carry over in your posts about me.

And so now that you've sufficiently demonized him, for yourself (based on your own delusions), you can pretend that he just got what he had coming.

Is this what you're thinking? Because that's what it sounds like as I read your comment.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily,

therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Because what we really want is a nation full of terrified citizens who obey and do what they're told. Which is what America was and is all about.

I don't know anyone who is "terrified" of the cops. Not a one. I'm certainly not. I obey the cops because I happen to be on the side of law and order and I have great respect for those willing to put their lives on the line every single day. I thank God we have such men and woman who are willing to do such a thankless job.

Doesn't really have much to do with my post. "The kid wasn't afraid of anything" seems to imply cops should inspire fear. Not respect. Fear. There's a difference.

P.S. For the record folks on the side of "law and order" often don't make history for the right reasons. Or wind up on the right side of it.

Not to mention that the kid was very likely afraid for his own life, at the time. And with very good reason, it turned out.

Just follow it all the way back to the source. I think you'll find I answered to what had been posted.

I'd check that record, if I were you. :chuckle:

I read and understood your comment just fine. All you really seem to see is a brat who got his comeuppance.

I'd check that record, if I were you.

Back atcha. You are a Christian, right?

Oh yes. Far be it from me to participate in any thread without the little whiney baby thinking everything I say has something to do with him. :baby:

Nope, I see what I see more and more every day. I see a total lack of respect and liberals claiming people have every right to be disrespectful. I see the results of that, including no respect for the rights of others. Kids walking into their high schools and seeing how many people they can shoot. Kids out of control on buses and at school. Kids who turn in their folks for not allowing them to have a cell phone. Encouraging bad behavior results in kids with bad behavior and results in criminals with bad behavior. The kid in this case ran his mouth one time too many. It's a fact of life...whether it happens on the playground, on a bus, in a park, in a bar, on the street corner. Sometimes a cop is involved and sometimes it's a bigger, meaner, or armed citizen who puts a stop to it. If ya wanna play, ya gotta pay.

Back atcha. You are a Christian, right?

Yes I am. And your point?

Yep, and the cop was looking for trouble as well. He'd already had high beams flashed at him several times and pulled other people over. Why not just drive on by and complain under your breath about the dag-nabbin' bright headlights on your new patrol car that appear to be on high beams but aren't?

Injecting the word "liberal" into this discussion just shows how ignorant and small-minded you are. It's pointless, irrelevant, and has zero to do with the conversation in any way.

And newsflash: Yeah, being "disrespectful" isn't a crime, or a shooting offense. And once again, respect is earned. It isn't a given.

Kids walking into their high schools and seeing how many people they can shoot.

Mass murder is a completely different conversation, unless you're talking about something else.

Kids out of control on buses and at school.

The same you tell to stay off your lawn, I expect.

The kid in this case ran his mouth one time too many.

We all understand: You see nothing more than a brat who got what he deserved. Repeating yourself doesn't make the sentiment any better.

Yes I am. And your point?

That the ones braying loudest about "law and order" wind up more often than not on the wrong side of history, and not changing it for the better. Let it steep. Maybe the thought'll finally come to you.

Here's a few words the cop could have said after asking, say,at least 5 times for license, registration etc. - "Do you Not have it on you" ? - he asked more than 5 times and that became the issue NOT THE LIGHTS.

I can understand why you'd be sensitive about the word liberal. I don't blame you, but it's a fact of life and it has everything to do with the disrespect we are seeing at every turn. If you must resort to name calling that only proves I hit a nerve. You libs are so sensitive. :chuckle:

And newsflash: Yeah, being "disrespectful" isn't a crime, or a shooting offense. And once again, respect is earned. It isn't a given.

Being disrespectful to police should be a crime, but you libs would have a cow if we dared make it one.

It makes a pretty phrase...."respect is earned", but you respect firemen whether they deserve it or not, and you disrespect cops whether they deserve it or not. So, really you don't mean what you say.

The same you tell to stay off your lawn, I expect.

I certainly would if he talked to me like he did to that cop. I'd take my hose and give him something to whine about....camera and all.

If it makes you feel like a nice guy in comparison to me, Granite, I'm willing to give you a pat on the back. I know you're not as mean as you pretend to be.

I don't need to let it steep. I know that a law abiding town has always been a happy town. I learned that watching Gunsmoke. :)
