There is only one type of Christian: those who 'conserve' the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Judeo/Christian doctrine.
Donald Trump has fooled a lot of people. How sad.
I don't see Christianity or wishing for a "Christian Leader" as having anything to do with Trump's support. Trump's actions and behavior go against everything Christianity and the Bible stand for. While I don't care for Cruz, it would have made sense for him to be the candidate of "conservative Christians". Unlike Trump, he isn't a raving loon.
Frankly, the claims of "liberals are destroying America" followed by electing the thrice, married, misogynistic adulterer known as Donald Trump is nothing more than projection ...

Pence brings establishment Republicans back to the voting booth or possibly away from Clinton. In other words, he brings the #never trumpers back into the fold. There is no hope for George Will or Bill Kristol or Joe Scarborough or David Brooks however.
The main thing Pence does is to appeal to those turned off by trumps offensive manner.
All of which are political hacks in their own right...glad to see them go. :thumb:

What does it say about Pence's loyalty and integrity that he would accept an appointment from Donald Trump, a man who:
- referred to his preferred candidate as "lying-Ted"
- questioned Cruz's US citizenship
- used unflattering photos of Cruz's wife, Heidi
- accused "lying-Ted's" father of being involved in the JFK assassination
- Pence criticized Trump's unprecedented criticisms of fellow Hoosier U.S. District Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel as "inappropriate," when he referred to the judge, who was born in America, as a "Mexican" and a "hater"
- Pence's description of Trump's repeated calls for the banning of Muslims from entering the U.S. as "offensive and unconstitutional"
The Republicans have a long history of making bad vice presidential picks - add Pence to the list!

-Trump's buddy David Pecker at the National Enquirer made up stories about Ted Cruz being an adulterer.
The media will challenge both Trump and Pence to explain these obvious inconsistencies between now and November - Pence's so-called Christian beliefs are about to take a beating if he wants to align himself defending Trump!
I'm really wondering what the notorious "October Surprise" the media will lay on Donald Trump is going to be.
I'd say that the lawsuit against him alleging that he (and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein) raped a 13 year old girl 20 years ago (something the mainstream media has been silent about) should be the nail in the proverbial coffin for Donald 'the dirty old man' Trump.
As morally corrupt as our society is, they still pretty much loathe child molesters.
Because it is a salacious fairytale without any evidence to back it up, it has defamation lawsuit written all over it, do you really wonder why they have not picked up the story? They have probably checked it out and see it has no merit. It takes more than an allegation for profit to get it done, and making the allegation 20 years after the fact really doesn't help either.
