Hostages able to recite verses of the Koran were being released, a security source has told Reuters news agency.

Six staff from Turkish Airlines are staying at the hotel, and a Chinese guest told China's state news agency Xinhua that he was among about seven Chinese tourists trapped there.

A French presidential source said French citizens were in the hotel, Reuters news agency reports.

The worst part is I do not see a solution to this situation (as a whole). Not really sure what needs to be done next.

Perhaps we simply need to put "the fear of God" into them?
They are attempting to force their understanding of Allah on the world.
That includes the thousands of other Muslims they have slaughtered.
Perhaps donning the Armor of God is the only solution left to us?

Terror originates in the will and purpose of the Eternal Almighty. He often uses the wicked to destroy the wicked.

perhaps this would be a good time to explain the crusades

Crusades:

- during the Middle Ages, Christian nations had to defend themselves against
invasions and attacks by Muslim imperialists and dictator-warlords.

They didn't do a very good job, being too divided and greedy to
unite effectively against a common enemy.

Perhaps this time we can do much better, and wipe out Islam forever,
like Mazda and Zoroastrianism.

Good point.

Just make sure no one confuses a withdrawal of Divine protection with ultimate justice.

Murder is still murder, and must be accounted for on Judgement Day
before the throne of Jesus the Messiah King of Kings.

The Eternal Almighty has made the distinction between the sheep and the goats. The tares and the wheat. He will bring forth fruit unto the praise of the glory of His grace or destruction unto the praise of the glory of His wrath.

That's tricky though. If we do go over there and kick their butts, we'll have to occupy the territory for a long time in order to ensure that ISIS/other groups stay down. By occupying a region we would make the residents of the occupied region resent us, which is exactly why they hate us now. If there is a way to beat these guys without occupying the region with American troops then that's the best option

Yet we still have forces in Germany, Korea and Japan. It's when we withdraw that it's a problem.

So you're saying that Japan and Germany and South Korea would turn into anti-America military threats if we abandoned our bases there?

Second question: how would you propose we pay for more occupation of the Middle East?

You seem pretty thick. The countries we leave (desert), such as Viet Nam and Iraq, get overrun. The countries we didn't, don't.

How about for starters, keeping it safer there would save all that money Obama wants to spend on shipping and settling refugees.

We left Vietnam because we couldn't beat them without breaking our own rules of engagement. Germany was occupied by us and Russua post WWII true, but the only reason WWII happened was because Germany got bitter from being sanctioned and occupied after they lost WWI. History is your friend.

Saddam Hussein ran Iraq in the only way that you can run a country that stuck in the past: by using fear and violence to both put down resistance to the dictatorship and to scare people into submission. It's an uncomfortable thing to realize, but Saddam knew how to run that country. He was an awful person but that's the only kind of person that can effectively run a country in such an unstable part of the world.

Do you have any clue how much money it has and will continue to cost for us to occupy territory in the Middle East? Any at all?

Pathetic, innocent people suffer all the time because of the sin choices of others.

Do it the way I said and blood shed will end quickly. Look at how fast Japan turned around.
