Trump should get Nobel Peace Prize

He's pretty much a self declared narcissist. He defines himself as a very stable genius and there's nothing to support that hypothesis. He downplayed Covid-19. He made light of it for political expediency until the numbers went up. He could have done so much better by addressing it in the early stages instead of crying "fake news" every time the evidence was to the contrary. To be fair, that was his administrations fault also but the buck stops somewhere.

I don't agree with you and looks like no middle grounds with you.

I did try though.

Bottom line? Trump encouraged Israel and UAE to admit that they aren't enemies (In fact, they've been holding joint military exercises, and are essentially allies against Iran), which at least does no harm. So it's a huge improvement on his previous actions in the Middle East.

A careful study by Columbia University says that about 36,000 Americans died because the federal government's failure to promptly address the pandemic. So Trump has responsibility for those deaths at least.

Almost 36,000 U.S. coronavirus deaths could have been avoided if social distancing began a week earlier, study finds

By Christopher Brito
About 36,000 coronavirus deaths in the U.S. could have been avoided if social distancing measures were implemented just one week earlier,
new data shows. The Columbia University study, released Wednesday, projected there could have been almost 54,000 fewer coronavirus deaths if the measures were taken at the start of March.

Researchers used computer modeling that looked at how diminished contact between people beginning on March 15 — around the time when many states began to enforce social distancing and stay-at-home measures — slowed down the spread of the virus through May 3. Then they applied those findings in simulations beginning one or two weeks earlier, and determined that starting the control measures sooner could have significantly reduced coronavirus cases and deaths.

Oh, thank you captain hindsight.

It didn't take a genius to figure out that ignoring the pandemic was going to kill people. He was warned by his own people about that. Pointedly and repeatedly.

For the those who weren't paying attention ...

Trump Was Warned About the Coronavirus More Than a Dozen Times In Daily Intel Briefings
Since the coronavirus outbreak exploded in the U.S., President Donald Trump has liked to portray the surging pandemic as a totally shocking problem that no one could have seen coming. “It snuck up on us,” Trump said on March 18, calling the virus “a very unforeseen thing.” It has now become very clear, of course, that the president and his administration were not in any way caught off-guard by the pandemic, receiving multiple heads-up about the looming catastrophe as the virus starting its spread from such sources as the World Health Organization, multiple federal agencies, and even Trump’s own economic adviser. (The administration also decided to ignore a literal step-by-step guide on how to deal with a pandemic from the outgoing Obama administration, along with a September report from White House economists warning about the toll a potential pandemic could take, and urging them to start preparing now.)

Now, the Washington Post reports that warnings about the coronavirus even made their way directly to the Oval Office as part of the president’s daily intelligence briefing...

...intelligence agencies warned Trump about the novel coronavirus in “more than a dozen classified briefings” in January and February, which traced the virus’s spread, China’s downplaying of the threat, and “raised the prospect of dire political and economic consequences.” The warnings came via the President’s Daily Briefing, a daily report controlled by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that informs the president about significant geopolitical developments and potential security threats. The virus was mentioned in the PDB both through in-depth articles and smaller updates on the latest coronavirus news, and mentions of the coronavirus in the PDB became more frequent by mid-to-late January.

COVID-19 is now the third leading cause of death in the United States.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to hemorrhage 1,000 lives daily in the U.S., COVID-19 now ranks third for cause of death in this country.

The leading causes of death in the U.S. are heart disease and cancer, but COVID-19 is gaining fast, CNN reported Monday.

Here is proof that you are unreasonable:

Can you name good things that Trump has done?

Can you name anything?

I was even going to go on the side of thinking okay maybe he is a little narcissistic, just to see if he would admit to Trump doing some good. No middle grounds from Trump haters.

Trump is narcissistic, completely. He doesn't care one whit about you and that's just being honest. Don't venerate this man because he's not deserving of it.

I like the fact that those 3 constant drum beats that formed the backdrop to the Obama presidency are silent today because of Trump.

North Korea nuclear missile threat
Syrian Civil War
Ukraine Civil War

Right; what about that.

Argh, I'm watching the Democratic Convention right now. It is so torturous.

  • Supported prison reform
  • Attacked Syria when they again used chemical weapons.
  • Supported the decision of Israel and UAE to formally ratify their de facto alliance.
  • Warned China not to use violence in Hong Kong
  • Banned bump stocks
  • Plan to reduce HIV infections in America
No one is wrong all the time.

He has done even more than that,

He's made America the laughingstock of the world. We can't even travel to foreign countries because he bungled the pandemic, and we're one of the few nations left where the pandemic is out of control.

He took an economy that had been expanding for seven years and ran it right into the ground. Moody's now predicts that if we're lucky, the economy will shrink by about 3 percent in the coming months.

His failure to act competently to deal with the pandemic killed at least 36,000 Americans.
https://abc7.com/social-distancing-s...id-19/6202100/

His own people turned him in for trying to get a foreign nation to help him get dirt on a political opponent. He was impeached for that crime, one of just three presidents.

He pretended to be anti-abortion,but pressured a woman (with whom was having an adulterous affair while married to his current wife) to have an abortion.

He boasted on a live microphone about how he gets away with sexual assault.

He laughed, describing how his pedophile pal, Jeffrey Epstein likes his females "on the younger side." And he rewarded the prosecutor who let Epstein off easy, with a cabinet position. And when Epstein's partner in molesting kids got caught, Trump wished her well.

pretty good president huh?

Not in the estimation of Americans. For the reasons above, and more.

To say what you said is more than dumb. We stopped the world from coming here first.

So stupid to say that.

The economy didn't cut regulations so that our business owners would come back here, Trump did that and it was after Obama.
